Interesting blend of Zinfandel (50%) and Syrah (50%). Dark ruby/purple color with a violet rim. Aromas of dark berry fruit, black tea, pepper spice, dried herbs and a touch of barnyard funk. Juicy cooked black berry/raspberry fruit on the palate with additional flavors of black pepper, baking spices, roasted meat and black licorice. Touch of vanilla on the long and brooding finish. Aldi advent calendar. Italian pilsner. Translucent with miniscule clouding. Off-white head with leaping penguin and dueling narwhale lacing. Allspice albeit lightly; tangerines and clementines. Sweet potato (baked), candied grapefruit and a hint of underripe pineapple. Clean,clean,clean beer! Hawaiian bread and brioche made a beer baby. Lemon and grapefruit bits clean it up. Refreshing and complex for a pilsner. Very enJOYable! Happy holidays all!

A very pretty Syrah at its peak. Really nice nose of black peppercorns, crushed wet granite, cured meats like jerky or salami. Oh yeah, and a wee bit of dark berry fruit. Soft, ripe, and mouthfilling, with beautiful purity and a long, clingy finish with dueling fruit and granite. Delicious. Wish I had more. — 6 years ago
