Not as pepper-driven as previous vintage I’ve tasted but still enjoyable and highly quaffable. — 4 years ago
Smokey leather and raspberry, velvety smooth on the palate. A hint of oak in the nose. — 8 years ago
Low tannin, good acid, ripe fruit (cranberry/cherry/raspberry) in a balanced and restrained way. A hint of mint. Great value. — 8 years ago
Enticing bottle of mature white burgundy — 10 years ago
Ripe berries, blue- and strawberries with tannins to supply a lattice for the seductive flavours. Elegant acidity. — 11 years ago
This is a silkier, more elegant vintage of the Chapelle, at least relative to the 2010, which was really in my zone, as well as the 2009, which I found over-the-top, but in both cases I think there was more stuffing there than here. This would've shown better if I'd opened it with white meat or even fish or something else where a lightweight presence and loose-knit structure is called for. It's an excellent wine in that idiom but lacks some of the solidity and grip it has offered in other years. It's not imbalanced at all, and the trademark stony mineral flavors are still here, it's just a slimmer version of its usual self. — 11 years ago
Earth, sweet strawberry, floral, leather, clove, acid keeps it fresh tasting, light in texture. I would drink up — 12 years ago
Barnyard funk, ripe red fruit, cinnamon, oak, cloves, and cola. Medium tannins, high alcohol, high acid, and medium finish. Big and hot. — 4 years ago
Rebuy - This is sweet but has an earthy fruity flavor that we loved. — 6 years ago

Soy, white pepper, aircraft carrier of big plum jam and cranberry, a touch of heat on the finish, gentle allusions to leather, long way to go but good juice — 12 years ago
2013 vintage. The second wine of La Chapelle, that is now named " Maison Bleue", but an excellent wine in its own right. At 9 years old this is absolutely gorgeous with an expressive nose of blackberries, wild flowers, pepper and leather, enhanced by a subtle smokiness. In the mouth it combines power with elegance, with pure fruit, subtle spices, silky tannins and great length. Terrific value if the mythical La Chappelle doesn't fit your budget. Chewy, & met spicy ceviche head on — 8 years ago
Still youthful garnet color. Almost opaque. Fruit forward nose with notes of black cherry, rhubarb, brambly brush, moist earth and a little menthol. Fruit matches the acidity and delivers amazing balance. Another 96 that seems to have come around. A few years the acidity was too much to handle, but now it’s got a nice balance. — 8 years ago
Well balanced, not overly alcoholic even at 14ABV, not too jammy with dark cherries, underbrush and garrigue, and a touch of spice. Moderate but persistent tannins, lovely finish, a great value! — 9 years ago
High class Châteauneuf-du-Pape. — 10 years ago

A delicious wine that should show even more in the next few years. With notes of kirsch and black currant, this soft, but complex wine is delicious. It has slight herbaceous undertones that round out the fruit forwardness. Probably one of the better Chat. Du Papes from this vintage. — 12 years ago
