It grew on me steadily. Light-bodied, bright, fruity, clean. — 9 years ago
Com un ranci amb menys potència i més dolçor. Vin de voile , vinificat com un vin jaune. Perfecte per un peyral i una fourme al Belvedère. — 9 years ago
I would usually hate this style but this is fantastic! — 10 years ago
Blurry photo of an excellent wine — 10 years ago
On border of Beaujalois. Clean, pure, green apple, pear, soft, supple, low acid palette but good mineral. — 11 years ago
#fws2013 floral and long, very good — 11 years ago
Pop and pour, notes from 45 min open. Lovely, and my best bottle..also my last '12. On the nose: lemon, soft ginger, a touch of honey, some sour apple. On the palate: excellent acidity and density, mirroring the nose. Paired with baked whole branzino, stuffed with onions and herbs...yum. — 5 years ago
Acidity smoothed out with breathing. Strong plum. Made in steel instead of oak. — 6 years ago
Nose has smokey dry earth, dry lavender, old licorice, dried black cherry, ripe black currant, dried blackberry and (light) dried oak.
Palate has silky dried blackberry, ripe plum, black currant jam, (light) dark chocolate, dried blueberry and light tannins. Mouth coating texture. Future bottles should be 2023+
50% Grenache & 50% Mourvédre
Paired with a bottom round beef roast, slow cooked 8+ hours with autumn root vegetables and the au jus from the roast, thickened with a little of my own tomato paste, delicious. — 7 years ago

A lovely 2012 burgundy...beautiful with imported European cheese! — 9 years ago
Slowly converting me to a Chablis drinker. — 10 years ago
Quiet the beast for Volnay. Ripe and rich. Hefty oak treatment. — 10 years ago
1995 Dom. Laurent NSG Les Vaucrains - The wine is showing beautifully. Still a bunch of primary notes, harmoniously integrated with some secondary tones. — 11 years ago
mild and dry in all the best ways. — 11 years ago
Bright yellow. Clear. A bit closed on the nose, ripe apples, peach, honey, oak. Dried fruits, orange on palette. Acid. Tangy or spicy. Silky, medium finish. Tasted in May 2021 at BigMacs&Burgundy book event by Alliance Francaise. — 5 years ago
Weird at first -some residual volatil compounds, but then settled very nicely. Elegant, nice structure. Lovely overall — 6 years ago
Buy a case! — 7 years ago
Pale color. Lemon zest nose. Meyer lemon, lemon cream, and dusty minerality. This is a good wine. — 8 years ago
Outstanding old vine Chablis that is "village" level but drinks like a premier cru. Decant for one hour. A SommSelect choice. $27. Wow. — 9 years ago
This is beautifully built gamay with good density, touch of smokiness and nice grip. Friday night meatloaf never had it so good! — 10 years ago
Superb structure and minerality, notes of pomegranate and a perfect creamy texture. Drink now through 2018 — 10 years ago

Great cork & freshness, needs air to fully evaluate,
K&L notes as follows
This property was a Bill Blatch favorite-and as usual I have never visited the property which is located in Begadan. Château Vieux Robin is a family owned Cru Bourgeois estate located in Begadan at the far north of the Médoc. 5th generation owners Maryse and Didier Robin have made huge strides in terms of quality since they took over in 1988. Didier Robin, who learnt his trade at Château Clarke, is a skilled winemaker and now produces 4 different cuvées of ascending quality. There are only 18 hectares of vines and Vieux Robin is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. Old school Bordeaux with 12% alcohol. Over 20 years old and still lively and fresh. No fancy oak here-just good Merlot and Cabernet.
