Nearly the color of wild-caught sockeye salmon. On the nose, strawberry, spring flowers, and ripe apricot. On the palate, Ranier cherry pith, strawberry, watermelon, and kiwi. A rather substantial body with fabulous texture. Low tannin; medium + acid. The finish is looooong and with a flourish of minerals. Between Pradeaux and Tempier, you can’t chose wrong. Regardless, I want more of this in my life! Drink now or hold until 2025. — 3 years ago
Super smooth. Love me some Bandol. It’s no Domaine Tempier, but very good. Hard to find, but worth the hunt. — 4 years ago
I think my first Tavel. Strawberry color - equally full body - overly acidic. Guess I’ll try Tempier — 4 years ago
All the extra heft and concentration you want from top pink Bandol. Spicy, mineral elements play nice with white peach, nectarine fruitiness. IMO, every bit the wine Tempier Rosé is, at a fraction of the price. — 5 years ago
Really chewy tannins for the age with this producer, but it eventually settled down w some air. Seemed much more like the structure of its Kermit cousin at Tempier vs what I expect from younger Gros Nore bottlings. Pleasantly surprised. This could go another 10 years easily. — 2 years ago
Surprisingly quaffable Bandol rosé... the edgy Mourvèdre notes are here, blood orange rind, garrigue, bright acidity. But the balancing blend introduces softer melon notes that makes this more accessible on release than other Bandols I’ve tried (Tempier, etc), and at a 30% discount as well. Nice! — 4 years ago
Insanely good. Needed about 40 minutes of air the exploded on the nose. French perfume for days. Palate was exceptional. Will be buying more. — 4 years ago
Awesome rose - lighter than tempier. Very fresh, zippy acidity — 5 years ago
Enough complexity, enough acidities, enough body, great harmony, 99,99% pure and absolutely no hint of superficiality. Cleaner than Pradeaux or Gaussen and earthier than Pibarnon and Tempier. Tastes exactly right. — 5 years ago
Dad really likes. Really nice rose. — 3 years ago
Nice Provence Rose from Le Domaine de Triennes & the team of, Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanée Conti & Jacques Seysses of Dujac.
Classic, well crafted, great on a warm day & palate shifter from white to red. Excellent QPR @ $15...not giving up my Domaine Tempier habit but, will get worked into the mix.
I won’t open another bottle for one to two more years. Needs some bottle evolution to soften its sweetness and integrate in IMHO. — 4 years ago
Elegant, yet not shy about being robust. A beautiful bouquet of Bandol. — 5 years ago
