Actually Mourvedre 100%
I was recommended to try this over the Grenache that is also very good i was told but this wine had a smoother tannin and potentially i could served it chilled too.
..well, i didn't drink it chilled, but i see what my friend meant..i am learning to appreciate chilled reds up here, i realise that you cannot have big reds when it is particularly warm weather and i must admit it makes sense.
The wine is delicious btw
On the nose it has a floral violet scent that i deeply loved. It has a good crunchy fruit that varied from sour cherry to fuji apple to pomegranate. A lovely mineral character too.
Palate is crunchy, vibrant and smooth.
It is hard to detect the tannin which in a mourvedre is rare.
I guess it has been tamed pretty well.
However this is not a thin wine, it has its structure and a long finish.
Only 2650 bottles produced.
I had Edouard Maurisset with me on the road representing the Delaunay wines from Burgundy and he is business partner with Michael and Claire who are more local to McLaren Vale.
It is a great project.
We visited one of my customer and literally bumped in their wines.
That's how i met this wine.

Super fresh and citrusy. For those that love grapefruit — 22 days ago
A regional 100% Chard sourced mainly from Côte d’Or (the Côte de Beaune and the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits), and Mâconnais deemed as Edouard’s house signature and sensible price point. Truly “à la mode” Chard that combines freshness of citrus, lemon and orange, with elegance and subtle aromas of mandarine peel. Barely any of cream, but soft on the mid-range palate with a finish of hazelnut and an amazing dry and clean completion of baked pear layers. — 3 months ago

Nice Ruby color with an array of fruit, floral and spice aromas. On the palate cherry, currant and raspberry flavors with some fresh cinnamon and smoky oak notes. Vibrant acidity, elegant fine tannins, well balanced just starting to wake up, long finish ending with slight earthy mineral notes, plenty of depth, will continue to develop. Nice! — 3 years ago
Love it super smooth will have it again — 2 months ago
Great mouth feel and a spicy undertone. Paired well with grilled whole Branzino on Easter and even held up w lamb rib chops. Don’t often drink Pinot noir but will seek this one out again in the near future. — 2 months ago

🍇 100% Chardonnay | Chablis AOC, Burgundy, France
A true gem of a wine of pure, mineral-driven Chardonnay from the iconic Kimmeridgian limestone-clay soils that define the northernmost vineyards of Burgundy, brushing the southern edge of Champagne.
On the nose:
Delicately floral with a streak of flinty minerality and lifted citrus notes. Pure, focused, and elegant.
On the palate:
Absolutely dry and crisp, with vibrant acidity and a medium-bodied mouthfeel. Zesty lemon, chalky tension, and just a whisper of orange peel at the very back end of the palate. Finishes with salinity and length that’s tailor-made for oysters and seafood.
Mouthfeel overall:
Fresh, lively, and laser-focused, this is Chablis at its finest, clean, precise, and impossibly drinkable. The kind of wine that reminds you why Chardonnay rules the white wine world.
Pairing tip:
✨ The ultimate oyster wine, though equally brilliant with sushi, scallops, or a lemon-butter sole.
Can’t have enough of it, and you won’t want to either. Cheers! 🦪🍋🥂 — 10 hours ago
