Smells bright and fruity with a bit of floral. Taste is tart but with nice flavors, maybe apricot? Complex and good alone — 6 years ago

Nose of plums, forest floor with fresh fallen flower petals. Taste is of plums, black tea, Forest, raspberry, mushroom. I really like this. Opened up after an hour of pulling cork and really excellent after 2+. — 7 years ago
Mineral, beeswax, citrus, incredible bottle, very complex and just delicious. — 9 years ago
3yrs in the cellar has given this bottle some depth. — 10 years ago
Stewed fruits and fig with a pleasant hint of bakings spices on the medium/long finish. It is well balanced with smooth medium tannins which don't dominate the pallate, which make this a wine that doesn't necessarily need a food pairing. Finally it's worth noting that this wine noticeablely improved after decanting (and was even better day two)! [9/6/2016] — 10 years ago

Not a bad bottle for #burgundythursday slight hint of black cherry, soy, spices (almost corning spices), meat, leather, chalky dust, barnyard, tannins still fairly noticeable with some resolution and integration still to come. Another decade won't hurt this. — 9 years ago

Lot May 2011, disg. Feb 2014. Muted upon opening, but give this a little bit of air....then, oh my god. This is so much better than my last btl, it's hard to believe. On the nose: soft honey, dense lemon oil, soft vanilla, a touch of oxidative golden apple. On the palate: fantastic acidity, soft and fine mousse, gorgeous density and richness, pomelo, and a lovely soft, velvety finish. — 6 years ago
Minerality, river rocks, salinity, apricot, orchard fruit, grape fruit. Some spice on the palette, nutmeg perhaps. Peach in the finish. High acid, lighter medium body. Beautifully well-balanced and delightful. — 8 years ago
Paired with baked salmon and salad. A sauvignon blanc with a mineral taste that gives you a full mouth. — 10 years ago
