Earthy, dusty, Violet, red/black cherry, blueberry, earl grey tea, mint, thyme, cinnamon, nutmeg. Complex with layer of flavor. Med plus body with med to med plus acidity, med plus tannin. A beautiful st Joseph — 10 years ago
Love the acid and style of this wine. Didn't quite stand up against the richer wines in this flight, but again it's is own animal. Lots of carbonic character. Day two it lost that primary effervescence and showed much more weight on the palate. Definitely the outlier in the group. Would like to see this with at least 5 years of age. — 10 years ago
Boom. Personally vibing with this one. Stiff minerality nicely opened and on the lower end of their French reds list. — 11 years ago
Light, well balanced, slight pear notes on the nose. — 12 years ago
Tastes very natural - surprising! One of the final Trollat vintages. — 14 years ago
Always a joy to check in with Souhaut. This Syrah is in a better early drinking place, oddly enough, than the Gamay. Very pleasurable with nice tannic presence. — 10 years ago
Great QPR, the Delas Saint-Joseph François de Tournon Rouge 2011 displays baritone aromas of ripe plums, reduced blackberries, anise, wet embers, fruit cake and a a billowing smoky undertow on opening. It's equally glorious in the mouth, I especially like the interplay of tannins and acidity. It's well defined, black fruit bolstered by cedar and Garrigue, I'm enjoying it on its own, certainly, it has the potential to age over the next decade or so. Highly recommended. — 10 years ago

A bit simple and jammy, the 2015 Saint Joseph Babylone features aromas and flavors of cherry preserves. It's medium to full-bodied, with some slightly green, stemmy notes on the silky finish. RP89, 2015
Bright, vivid blackberry fruit with lots of concentration yet quite light body. Slight bitterness to finish. (RH) JR16.5, 2017 — 4 years ago

There are two kinds of st Joseph. This is one of the good ones. Long finish. Complex. Quite serious. — 2 years ago
