Nose is so mineral. Lemony and buttery. But it’s overwhelmingly mineral and scene in the forest. Palate is racy and ripe but has terrific acidity, freshness and cut. Long finish. Juicy and so pure. Really awesome stuff. Wow as this opens the e berg is palpable and the complexity is off the charts. So good. Nice richness on the palate now with a few hours of air. — 9 months ago
Dynamite- toasty, tropical nose but laser focused palate- unreality and acidity carry the palate. — 3 years ago
Tastes like a combo of cab and pinot: good. Perfume nose. — 3 years ago
This btl was comped by the restaurant after I made 3 attempts to order a white Burg off of their list that was not available. Crazy for Spagos! I have never gone 0 for 3 prior to this but the same thing happened the next day at Mott 32. Another 1st for me where 2 restaurants in the same city did not have the 3 btls I selected off their list. — 4 years ago
Clearly a wine of pedigree, although maybe not a great year is reflected. Still v enjoyable but of course young — 5 years ago

Bright nose of red cherry, limestone, gala apple skins, some spice and wet stones. Palate is so old school with invigorating cherry fruit and loads of crunchy minerals. Very pure and balanced and has a lovely rusticity to it. Good energy and silky but substantial tannins. — 6 months ago
Lovely aromas. Big time Pommard stones and minerals. Gorgeous blackberry and black cherry fruit. Really vivid and detailed. So pretty. Palate is ripe, lush and elegant with terrific balance. A bit clipped on the finish which will surely gain with air. Lovely persistence of black cherry with elegant and dusty tannins. Terrific concentration and a classic very old school profile. Needs time but very good today but will be much better in 5 years.
After 6-7 hours open this has changed. 9.3 to 9.4. So elegant and pure now. Really deep. So refined. — 3 years ago
I found this rather simple and refreshing, which was in no way a bad thing. Exactly what we wanted for dinner. Lovely juicy just ripe cherry fruit, some lovely earthy notes and charming perfume. Its lightness and tangy acidity paired with finely knit yet caressing tannin made for easy and thoroughly thirst quenching bottle. Pour la table! — 4 years ago
