This is the kind of chardonnay that I like to serve to people who claim they don't like it. Perfect balance between acidity, showcasing of delicate fruit and peppered minerality. Gala apples, ripe honeydew, under ripe peach, lemon oil, chalk, white flowers, raw hazelnut. Perfect for thanksgiving foods, lovely alone. — 9 years ago

Last time I enjoyed a César it was a '98 vintage. That was just 2 years ago; I must say this young one was surprisingly full of charm. — 13 years ago
I have had this wine many times it’s solera from 2005-2014, so more vintages makes a better wine, degorged in jan 2017. The mix of those magnifiscent 7 grapes is fantastic, not an easy job, but Aurelien Laherte is a master.
I have always like this wine, fantastic thrilling nose and taste🥂 — 9 years ago

Chablis at its best, steely. — 12 years ago
Clear medium gold, fine, persistent bubbles; clean, medium intensity aromas of hard green pear, green papaya salad, pear blossom, raw dough, cheese rind; dry, medium plus acid, medium alcohol, medium body, medium intensity flavors of riper green pear, green apricot, lemon pith, raw dough, yeast, smoke, medium plus finish; very good — 8 years ago
The sommelier described this selection as fruit forward, but I respectfully disagree. I experienced more minerals than anything else, which seems consistent with the fact that this delicate tasting wine is grown directly in the limestone bedrock, with very little soil. Hints of pepper rounded out the flavors. Excellent! Paired well with langoustines and lamb. — 9 years ago
A very acidic tasting wine, with the slightest hint of vanilla. One of the best white wines I have ever tasted. — 10 years ago
Pretty good and a little funky but not as long of a finish as I would like. Paid $29 and I think it is worth closer to $20 — 10 years ago

Sunflower seeds, some oil, smoke and olives on the nose. Very smooth, calm tannins, medium acidity, very earthy, raisins, blackberry, black curants. Shorter finish. Great, light and wonderful. — 12 years ago
