A blend of Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot & Petite Sirah, aged for 15 months in 45% new French oak. Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruits, cigar box herbs and flinty notes. On the palate ripe black cherry, currant and blackberry flavors with espresso, mocha and earthy leather. Well balanced, lively acidity, fine dusty tannins long finish ending with fruit, cedar and toasty mint pepper spice! Nice! — 4 years ago

Magnum 1959 Lafite-Rothschild. Opened for McC’s bday at Ac House. Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Didn’t decant, but opened the bottle about 45 min before drinking. K was joking that this bottle was fake bc it had so much delicious fruit in the wine still. — 7 years ago
Light with an oiky texture. Floral aromatics and palate with hints of fruit and a honeyed tones. Delicate yet palate coating. — 2 years ago
Rund og god smak. Frukt. Ingen vond ettersmak. Kan godt drikkes uten mat til. Kjøp igjen! — 4 years ago
Decanted for about 45 minutes. Consumed with beef Wellington. Excellent choice. The price was within reason price wise as well. Will by as my I can find at a reasonable price. — 4 years ago
45+ minute decant. Dark red color. Has that great barnyard nose I love with meat and spice elements too. There is an interesting tartness when it first hits your tongue, which isn’t good or bad, just different and maybe out of place. Nice balance of cherry fruit and smoke. Medium plus finish. I really enjoyed this!! — 6 years ago
45 min decant. Medium bodied, with earthy nose initially, picked up cherry, cedar notes with time in glass. Soft mellowed tannins & smooth finish. Thanks Pops! 👍 — 6 years ago
45+ minute decant. Definitely give this baby a lot of air. Dark cherry color. Nose that if I were tasting blind I would have guess Napa. Very fruit forward with dark cherry and oak. On the palate it has more French characteristics of cedar, earth, and smoke. Very enjoyable! Goes great with food. Medium + finish. These ‘05 Bordeaux’s rock!! — 6 years ago
Smooth and lightly effervescent after 45 min of opening. Enjoyable, very smooth — 3 years ago
I've been told Spanish wines are a bargain and it's true! Lots of spice from my three favorite grapes - 45% Cab Sauv, 45% Monastrell, and 10% Syrah for the 2018. If I were to name it, I'd call it a Back-End Blend. At $15 a bottle I'll definitely buy it again. — 4 years ago
Full bodied and rich but versatile. $45 at Highland wine. Drank on NYE. Great gift wine — 4 years ago
Another trip around the sun, another “66 Bordeaux. This time it was the Cos d’Estournel. Clearly the best of the “66 vintage I have tasted over the last several years on my birthday. It started with salami and spice on the nose. Mid palate it morphed into this lovely soft earthy red fruit and finished with leather and spice. No hint of the typical Cos pencil lead. This wine still had depth and character. I was surprised by the richness and depth of color. It started to fade after about 45 minutes but wow, were those minutes an amazing wine experience. — 5 years ago

This is the first palomino I've had that wasn't barrel aged and fortified into sherry and it was a brilliant pairing with a popping umami dish of shrimp head tartare.
I'm definitely going to look for it back home
