Blue-red berries layered with a pervasive malty sweetness and cocoa-accented depths. Red jolly ranchers rolled in iron and mineral dust. Robust; a bit inky, but light-footed; lively acids running through. Classy bottle; aging beautifully with a long way to go. — 3 months ago
Mid to dark Ruby in colour. Black and Red fruits - aromatics of blackberry, note of raspberry, earthy and sandy notes. A medium to full bodied palate - rich and enduring. Costers de Vinyes Vielles comes from the company’s oldest vines. A blend of 110 year old Carinena (55%) and 90 year old Garnacha (45%). Aged for 16 months in French oak. One of the 1001 Wines. 14.5% ABV. Love Priorat wines after our visit in 2022. — 4 months ago
Classic Priorat notes of cocoa, cherries, and llicorella. Solid wine drinking nicely. — 5 months ago

Blend of mostly Garnatxa and Carinena, aged in American oak, deep Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruits, spice and oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry, currants and raspberry with vanilla, smoky cedar and licorice. Fine chewy tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, oak, sweet spice and earthy mineral character. Nice! — 3 months ago
Really good- cherries and minerals — 5 months ago

Nice wine!! — 3 months ago
Tasted blind & I whiffed on all my guesses- because I had forgotten lithe, elegant, Burgundy like sappiness CAN come from Priorat, & especially this producer, Palacios. I adore their cheaper bottlings too, for very much the same reasons. With air it’s rose petals & ripe cherries for days on the nose, & a perfectly balanced palate of ripe dark cherries, but also some gaminess which made me think Northern Rhone at first. A real treat, especially for Spanish nay-sayers — 3 months ago
From 60- to 90-year-old vines, blend of Cariñena and Garnacha with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, spice and oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry, currants and raspberry with vanilla, smoky cedar and licorice. Fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, oak, sweet spice and earthy mineral character. Nice! — 3 months ago
Golden. Clove, vanilla, mellow acidity. The oak is pleasant and not overwhelming. Delicious. — 6 months ago
