Blend of Sangiovese (90%), Merlot (5%) and Syrah (5%). Dark ruby color with a thin garnet rim. Sour cherry on the nose with hints of black fruit, violets and baking spices. Tart and ripe black cherry/berry/raspberry fruit on the palate with notes of black pepper, chai spices and vanilla. Distinct mineral note on the long and earthy finish. Full bodied and high alcohol with noticeable tannins. High acidity keeps the wine well balanced. Nice complexity. — 10 months ago
