Not a 1er Cru, but it should be! Lovely Vosne. Velvet, sappy cherry fruit with Vosne spice. Hints of vanilla and stones. A whiff of oak char on the nose, but less so on the palate. Decanted for 2 hours prior to consumption. — 4 years ago
Smooth! Smells like pears with a hint of citrus. — 4 years ago

This forty eight year old Clair-Dau the precursor of Bruno Clair. The last vintage made by Joseph Clair Bruno’s Grandfather. Exquisite, transcendent yet with power and grace. 1971 Vintage — 6 years ago

I thought this was much better than the pro reviews suggest. It isn’t the most complex or interesting but fruit and tannins in a great place. Round and delicious. I think a crowd pleaser. — 9 months ago
Trying at the Wine Vault. Subtle aromas of cherry, slightly funky. Rich fruit and lots of depth to taste. Loved by the big reds group I’m with. — 3 years ago
In an awkward place for now — 4 years ago
Cherry and cranberry aromas that match the pallet. Forest floor and a little toasty oak in the background that is a nice touch and not overly done. Would drink this again. — 6 years ago
Sooooo good! Enjoying these Santenay wines! For a 2018 I feel like it’s right where you want this wine to be. — 10 months ago
Already decent, probably needs a few years — 3 years ago

Talk about the perfect wine for the meal. We did local heirloom tomatoes, Barata cheese, and it held its own. Fois gras with caramelized onions. It definitely started to shine. She had the seared pork chop with polenta, and I had the duck trio which consisted of duck breast and homemade duck sausage. Not only the wine hold its own and definitely made the night more memorable. You can never separate the food from the wine. — 8 months ago
