Red fruit and maybe a hint of tobacco on the nose. Integrated tannins with lots of that red fruit in taste. Some sweetness. — 10 years ago
Very '09, but a lovely '09... — 11 years ago
Delicious, but the wood showed a little more tonight than previous times. Very dark berry and brown spice. — 12 years ago
Beautiful. Mature Volnay is a wonderful treat! — 13 years ago
Gun powder, cat piss, lemon, crushed rocks, chalk... what a complex nose ! The palate is a model of balance and tension. Lemon at first, a sheer acid backbone that is backed by fruit and matter with a nice density around the end of the palate. The finish is fresh, thirst quenching and lovely with flowery notes. Very good Sancerre ! — 8 years ago
Textbook red burgundy. Mushrooms, barnyard, floral, and a nice cherry note. Good concentration. — 8 years ago
Bought in 2001 by Florence & Dominique Decoster. Ch Fleur was promoted to "Saint-Emilion Grand cru classé" in 2006. I did a vertical ‘12, ‘13 & ‘14, check my notes on ‘14 for conclusion. A blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cab Franc and 5% Cab Sauvignon, deep red with big ripe fruit aromas and gentle notes of floral. Blue & Black berry flavors, great mouthfeel delivers nice balance on structured soft tannins that could benefit with more time, lingering finish ending with smoky mineral notes. Will cellar Nicely! — 9 years ago
Excellent. Ripe, spicy black fruits with balancing acidity & well integrated tannin. Oak evident but very much a passenger. Just starting to develop tertiary aromas. — 10 years ago
Mineral and grapefruit pith. Bright acid and a long finish — 10 years ago
Beautiful and elegant.. This Wine could be drunk now, but will only get better with age. Floral, ripe fruit and showing signs of mushroom and earth.. It's developing! A new favorite! — 10 years ago
2006. A little lean for my taste but the quality is undoubtedly there. — 11 years ago

Sweet nose...very smooth for a brut...there is hint of a delicious nutty flavor.. — 14 years ago
Exciting young wine. Quite reductive on the nose initially- matchstick/rubber aromas. Opening up with floral nuances, peaches and hazelnuts. Lean texture with a bit of roundness around the edges. Wonderfully fresh, mineral Meursault that will age gracefully. — 8 years ago
Very nice crimson color with a chocolate taste. Very full bodied. — 9 years ago
Rich mid red fruits, good soft minerality and nice acidity. However, a bit light on body and complexity. — 10 years ago
Enjoyed at Oro before and during meal. 70/30 PN/CH. Very red-fruited. Nose reminiscent of ratafia. Bruised apple and other oxidized notes - probably slightly last peak. Voluminous. Nice match for the beef tartare with egg and mussel sauce on toast, as well as the uni-egg toast, and the chicken liver bites. Also a great foil for the shredded crispy pig ears. Not as much our style for drinking on its own but great with food. — 11 years ago
Just gorgeous!

3rd time I’ve had the chance to try this wine which was released more than 20 years after the vintage. It’s a real stunner, showing some secondary characteristics but not oxidized. This is what great chardonnay can become with age, showing the awesome terroir of the Charles Heintz vineyard. — 8 years ago
