Followed the Ulysse Collin Extra. Rut, so the dosage seemed a bit high. I had the 2006 about a month ago and it was good, not great. This was good, but not great again. Enjoyable, but not entirely special.

Reductive at first, with a dense core of iron and nuts. After 45 minutes it is showing tanned leather, rhubarb, tea smoke and beef jerky.

This Grand Cru Champagne is delicious. Dense, complex flavors and layers of apple/pear, biscuit but soft creaminess. High acidity that keep this Champagne well alive. Outstanding!
