Darn solid for $37 at WTSO. An open, friendly style, the nose leads with dark berry ooze, coffee grounds, low-toned stony minerals, toasted baking spices. Rich and soft in the mouth, it’s got lots of dark, clingy fruit and dark earth notes, with a saline echo. Tannins are rich but buried in the voluptuous texture. Pretty decent acids. Not super complex nor an ager, this will be fun to drink with daubes (what I have on the stove) and the like over the next few years. — a year ago

Conservatòri, 100% Mauzac Blanc. My first encounter with this heirloom varietal. Dry to slightly off dry, rounded mouthfeel. White floral, lime, underripe lemon and underripe orchard fruit flavors. Mineral finish. Refreshing and different. Medium body, acid, alcohol. Vanilla-like aftertaste. Some lactic character in the finish emerges after 30 minutes. Some history behind Limoux; look online for more — a year ago

Incredible minerality….. the white stone fruit is the most intense of the aromas, along with dried fruits, and toasted spice overtones. — 16 days ago
