Don’t want the secret to get out but an amazing wine that bucks the reputation of its vintage. — 7 years ago

At 1st matchstick and citrus opening into burnt orange, honey, hazelnut, butter cream, has a slightly oily texture, tangerine, lingering nose, very complex and rich. Absolutely a stunner! — 11 years ago
Very good. Never had it before. Wish i would have let it age more. — 11 years ago
The palate is full of lively verve. Lemon lime high acidity. What seemed at first to be notes of hazelnut actually blew off. In fact I mistook these notes. The wine seems to be rather reduced. Color is light gold/dark lemon. Went well with roast pork. — 11 years ago

A recco from the local liquor store. Beautiful eggplant purple, and jammy as Hell. Smoky, peppery and loads of black fruit. Must. Get. More. — 11 years ago
2008, Domaine Vincent Ricard, Les Trois Chenes, Touraine, Sauvignon Blanc. One of my favorite SB. A little past it's prime but still has lots of primary citrus. Touraine is about a 3 hour drive west of Sancerre. Vincent Ricard has a good lineup of wines. I also like his Gamay/PN blend. — 12 years ago
Joyous Côtes du Rhône. — 12 years ago
From a lieu dit surrounded by Gevrey. Definitely young but with a couple hour decant quite enjoyable and accessible. Tons of sweet cherry on the nose; aromatically really quite intense. Full on the palate, get more tannin than I was expecting, but very nicely balanced by a lot of acid. Enjoyed it with a roast chicken provencal but could have stood up to red meat too. Nice qpr at ~$30. Note this is not the “cuvee unique”, which apparently a 100% new oak bottling - this is the regular which is 85% old. — 6 years ago

2010, Thibault Liger-Belair, Bourgogne Les Grands Chaillots Pinot Noir. Best Bourgogne PN that I have had recently. Well balanced and complex for a entry level Bourgogne. Red and black fruit with high acid and well integrated tannins. Will buy more. — 12 years ago
Beaucoup de chair, super équilibré, vraiment délicieux, coup de cœur. — 13 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Note, in 2019 hail cut yields by 40%, Deep Ruby with concentrated aromas of ripe dark fruits and spices. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with leather, licorice and smoky herb notes. Fine tannins, hints of oak on medium+ finish ending with fruit, herb and earthy mineral tones. Nice! — 4 years ago
