A big champagne from their #Achille cuvée with a strong oaky structure but a good acidity to keep its bite sharp and crisp. #wheninparis — 7 years ago
A pale, almost translucent yellow; much more rounder than I expected but phenomenal balance of acidity and fruit. Some interesting herbs with a touch of vanilla here; need to get some more! — 7 years ago
Wonderful, round and light. Gold color — 8 years ago
One pointless point than last time. This is the greatest Syrah made in Italy. Hands down. — 9 years ago
17.5. 2015 Pont des Arts (Chene Bleue) rose. Doesn't come any better (rose, that is). Much more character than most. Yes, the label is hard to catch in a photo, but very pretty! — 9 years ago
Goûté à Malte
Rond en bouche
Légèrement tannique
Goût de mûres

The bouquet on the 2016 Lucien Crochet Sancerre Le Chene Marchand showed a beautiful mix of young mango with wet stone, chalk dust, lime zest and hints of dried savory herbs. On the palate, I found rich weighty textures which were perfectly offset by zesty acidity and spice as a cascade of minerals, green apple, with hints of honey, lime and inner floral tones coated the senses. The finish was long as slightly oily textures slowly faded from the palate, leaving a coating of green citrus, with minerals and residual mouthwatering acidity. It's amazing now but I know this will only get better with a few years in the cellar. — 7 years ago

This is the "Eleve en futs de Chene" cuvée, mature Syrah aromas, minor oak aromas, the oak smoothes out the palate, still quite rich and full-bodied, long finish, really an excellent older Languedoc, kudos to Jeffrey Davies for this one!! — 9 years ago
Different nose from le Chene. Floral. More rounded on palate nicely balanced. Long complex finish. Good value. JL tasting. — 9 years ago
2017 Memorious Pinot Noir
2017 Bloom’s Field Pinot Noir
2017 La Côte Pinot Noir
2017 Sous le Chene Pinot Noir
2014 Sandhi Blanc de Blancs
All Pinot Noirs were delicious. Memorious tasted some spice with black pepper. Bloom’s Field showed darker fruits. La Côte was fuller in body and riper on aromas. Sous le Chene had the best concentration and the most complex profile with hint of wild bouquet. The Blanc de Blancs was refreshing with a tad of funkiness, possibly from VA and a little oxidation, 3 years on lees, all adding to the character.
What’s especial about Sous le Chene is that it’s sourced from this 10 rows of vines literally right next to La Côte but you can somehow really taste the difference between the two. — 6 years ago
Fantastic 2014 vintage! — 7 years ago
2015 Chene Petit Verdot..... Best bottle of Texas wine I've ever had. This bottle pours a dark purple color into the glass. Nose is lavender, hawthorne, cinnamon and plum. Black tarry color. The entry reveals a FULL BODIED wine. Dark, black plum, earthy, black fruit, red apple cinnamon spice with plum tart overlay. Finishes dark with mint and acidity and youthful oak tannin that is ABUNDANT. This wine is THICK. The acidity from start to finish is quite high which pretty much just tells me that this wine's best days are STILL ahead of it. This glass was enjoyed from Coravin, so I can only imagine how amazing it would be with a 4 hour decant. WOW. Drink 2020-2030. — 7 years ago
