Too bad that more people have discovered the wines of Sylvain Pataille. Still well priced but more competitive to buy them. — 3 months ago
A fresh tasting White blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Still very young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.
Light to medium in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate and complex.
Showing lemons, green apples, white flowers, grapefruits, bitter herbs, earth, spices and white pepper.
Tangy finish with limes and almonds.
Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years and see how it evolves.
A blend of 60% Roussanne, 30% Clairette and 10% Grenache Blanc.
14% alcohol by volume.
89 points.

Prachtige Sauternes. — a month ago

Medium deep garnet, ruby core with medium light garnet rim . This is quite meaty and deep on the nose , with earthy dark cherry , porcini , sweet blackberry and spiced sous bois . On the palate this is quite severe and serious , darker fruits , ripe blackberry , cherry and hint of blackcurrant, herbal hints. Quite gritty , slightly drying tannins , fresh acidity . Earthy , dusty dark cherry edged finish , ok medium length. Quite ambitious for a village and arguably not ready yet , tannins need a little more time to integrate. From now and over the next 5 years, if not longer . — a month ago
Light medium ruby , wide pink rim . Fresh rose , raspberry , strawberry with hints of hedgerow. On the palate mostly ripe , light red fruits , strawberry and raspberry mostly with good freshness and just a hint of spice . Ripe but lightly gritty tannins, fresh sappy acidity . Medium length . Lovely now and over the next 5-8 years . Not complex or thought provoking but pure , fresh and enjoyable. — 2 months ago

More perfume and more fruit than the Clos du Chapitre. Yes it’s more expensive but it’s worth it. One of the best Mercurey I’ve had. I’m not usually a fan but I found balance and elegance in this one. #mercurey #premiercru — 2 days ago
