Reception pour at the Jean-Michel Cazes dinner.
On the nose; sweet & sour cherries, strawberries, under ripened tangerines, black cherries, brioche, nice volcanic minerals and red & pink roses.
The body is rich. Sweet & sour cherries, strawberries, under ripened tangerines, black cherries, ripe rhubarb notes, more brioche than the nose, seashells & oysters, nice volcanic minerals and red & pink roses. — 7 years ago
Hand picked in Lyon, the label lured me into thinking that something magical awaited, a bit disappointed when opened. Plenty of fresh, vibrant fruit, but felt over oaked and missing the finesse of other Beaujolais I’ve had from the region. — 8 years ago

This is a very good & fun Cremant. Perfect for summer and only around 8 degrees alcohol. — 9 years ago

This is a 2015, cab franc-dominated, entre-deux-mers Bordeaux. It is surprisingly fruity with blackberries and boysenberry aromas. A hint of rosemary, green bellpepper, and barnyard aromas add to the earthiness. The spice and acidity makes this a perfect wine to go with meat. Luckily, I paired it with a succulent peppercorn-encrusted petite tenderloin filet with portobello mushrooms and broccolini. What a great wine for $15 (coupon brings it to $12)!!! — 7 years ago

Great single vineyard BdB from the Mont Aigu parcel in Chouilly, just near the Cramant border- with leftover sandwiches and out of a plastic cup. Next stop SFO! — 11 years ago

This was nice bright and full of great minerality. Thank you @Gary Westby — 10 years ago
Tasted 2013 vintage in 2015. Ruby red color. Light bodied, medium plus acidity, medium - tannins. This wine shows its fruit characters and is well structured with medium tannins which will age easily for another ten years. Aromatics and a palate offering tart cherry, a hint of strawberry and notes of earth- based minerality. This wine has another decade of change ahead of it if you wish and could easily be enjoyed at present. — 10 years ago
Today was my first encounter with this wine. It is a newcomer at Vinmonopolet in Bergen, Norway. Fresh as an aperitif, fruity with ham and sauce remulade! — 11 years ago
