Classic Napa cab. Constrained fruit, mellow tannins, good structure. Beautiful cassis notes. This bottle was a gift. After looking up the prices I was pretty shocked. Totally not worth North of $150. — 6 months ago

2015 vintage Chianti Gran Selezione.
80 % Sangiovese, 13 % Merlot and 7 % Malvasia Nera.
Deep dark ruby red.
Perfumed nose with black currants, violets, olives and cocoa.
Ripe black plums, leather, black tea with polished silky tannins.
A long, beautiful finish. — 4 years ago
This up-front, fleshy Chianti is drinking really nicely right now. Pretty extroverted nose shows dark, macerated cherry, iodiney minerality, and a little loamy soil. In the mouth it’s pretty full, with a big whack of fruit initially, some tertiary notes developing and becoming apparent in the back half of the palate. Decent acids and still some soft tannin providing some scaffolding. I’d like a bit more linearity and persistence in the finish but for a ‘18 it’s darn nice. — 3 months ago
Long day in Tralee working, feels so good to have this cracking Chianti Classico with the Black Cockerell, plums, berries, tobacco, great way to revive... — 4 months ago
Cherry and smoky aroma, medium body, dry, semi-bitter finish. Paired nicely with rib eye steak. — 6 months ago

A nice neat Chianti Classico that is light and yet has a robust taste that has a nice finish.

Very nice. Garnet color, slight preserved fruit nose. Bright, soft. Tannins and acids balanced but present, definitely possible for aging. — 7 months ago
