2021. Drove to Omaha to attend an Arnot-Roberts wine class and tasting, and got there early to enjoy some delicious oysters with a bottle of fantastic Chardonnay that wasn’t on the tasting list. Unfortunately, Nathan Roberts flights were delayed and the class was cancelled, but we’re going home with a bunch of tasty wines instead! — 3 months ago

100% Santa Barbera Sangiovese fermented via Carbonic Maceration. Bright garnet color with a ruby core. Bright aromas of red berry fruit, violets and minerals. Flavors of red cherry, raspberry, currant, cranberry and strawberry fruit with additional notes of rhubarb and that hint of mineral. Medium length finish and crisp acidity. Quite tangy and refreshing. Light bodied and easy to drink. Very Beaujolais-like. Excellent pairing with the meat lovers pizza we had today! — 4 months ago

Popped in poured; no formal notes. The 2020 Pithos Rosso is, to my palate, a lovely Sicilian alternative to Beaujolais. Delicious, refreshingly fruity and just a touch wild. Sufficient structure to provide enjoyment for the near term, but I would just as well drink now. I really enjoy these wines.  — 4 months ago
