Brick Barn Wine Estate

Long Barn

California Pinot Noir

Ваниль, инжир, дерево передает первый нос, сладость и мягкость во вкусе. Среднетелое, послевкусье недолгое, но аромат пустого бокала радует долго. — 8 months ago

Absolutely amazing. Dark, Smokey, slightly spicy. Preferred it day one. 2nd day it got a bit sweeter and lost some of the spice. — 4 years ago

Cuvée du Tonnelier Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir 2017

Fine OR pinot; fabulous nose already showing tertiary notes, palate is supple & structured with light tannin around a cherry liqueur core. Peppery finish. Lovely if a bit simple. — 3 years ago

Another 4th Friday for the books! What a variety this month!

At 24yrs old, it’s incredible how this drinks. Obviously past its prime, but by no means a lost bottle. Had never heard of this vineyard. Butterscotch, salted popcorn kernels, and cornbread note too. Still retaining some nice acidity!

Château Mouton Rothschild

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 1999

Elegantly wild. Complexity throughout. Shows strikingly intense aromatics of myriad barn notes. Reserved on the palette, this is gentlemanly austere at 12.5%. Long, focused finish. Doesn’t get too much better for my liking. — 2 years ago

Special birth year bottle for a milestone birthday this week. The cork was almost entirely intact and we double decanted to catch all the sediment. A beautiful brick color in the glass, evolving over 4 hours and drinking nicely. Plenty of fruit left and I also picked up a little salinity/olive savoriness. Glad a few friends popped by to share this with me #50inquarantine #socialdistancing 🍷😷🙌🏻 — 4 years ago

(aged in American oak barrels for nine years and then in bottle for a minimum of eight more years) Faded brick-red. Aromas of red berries, dried rose, cedar and tobacco show outstanding delineation and pick up woodsmoke and herb nuances as the wine opens up. Sweet and seamless in texture, offering mineral-accented red currant, cherry and blood orange flavors that spread out steadily on the back half. The extremely long, tannin-free finish shows compelling sweetness, lingering florality and an echo of smoky oak. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, May 2017) — 6 years ago
