My choice for a Rhône style theme with my local group.

Definitely the oldest No Girls I’ve opened. As expected, these have a Burgundian flair to them in the way they are made when compared to Cayuse/HP/HC. Not as much depth/richness, but there is great acidity and the use of stems is clear. Faint ruby in the glass. Stemmy/green aromatics with herbs de Provence, black olive, Cayuse funk/iron on the nose. Saline, red and black berry driven on the palate with black pepper spice, truffle, beef jerky and big phenolics. Tart and acidic, I followed this over two days, and to my surprise, held up very well. I hour decant! First time trying The No Girls 2019 Tempranillo. Color is a dark Ruby red. Nose- raspberry-cherry and roasted meat with a slight funk are the initial notes followed by dark soil, bitter chocolate and a touch of leather and pepper spices. Taste - juicy and chalky but well integrated flavors of red fruit, tart cherry and smoky cedar. Well structured and balance and could age another 10 years. Christophe Baron and his winemaker Elizabeth does it again! — 6 months ago

Age is this bad boys friend. Rich black fruit on the nose. Smooth and buttery tannins. Blackberry is dominant Macerated black olive on the mid palate with eucalyptus on the longer finish.  — 17 days ago

3 big boys, Cuilleron, Villard, & Gaillard team up to produce nice wines at great qpr.
N. Lots of honeysuckle and peach, stone fruits. Mineral too.
P: the palate is where this shines. Oily, long, on lees for 9 mo. Melons, peaches, bit o’ pineapple. Lots of minerality.
Let that warm for a while, and it’s opulent.
A hint of bitter, stoniness on the finish. — 2 years ago

Love these “Blue Boys.” Mollydooker (Aussie for left-hander) Wines was established in 2005 by Sarah and Sparky Marquis. Dark Ruby with dark berry fruit aromas adding sweet spice and cedar. On the palate this wine has complex flavors of blackberry and blueberry with licorice, cacao, oak and vanilla. Fine dusty tannins, peasant mouthfeel (16% Alcohol), full-bodied, long ending with a nice spicy finish. Aging well, good now, has room to run over short term. — 6 months ago
