Tasted blind. Reddish tawny. Nose is closed and not yielding much. I get cranberries, some cherries, iron and stones, some wood. Has a high pitched character to it. Has some pucker in it yet. Tight with ample acidity. I guess 97 Vogue Bonnes Mares. In my experience this wine has had some variations in its performance. Today it was better than most, but suffered by not getting ample air before it was served. — 6 years ago

Needed more time that we gave it to open up. Interesting and bright, but still very tight. — 9 years ago
Probably the best burgundy red I have tasted in years. Big nose, long finish and so much fruit. Unreal — 10 years ago

We really liked it. Smooth, some complexity. Super drinkable — 11 years ago
Powerfulだけど、強すぎず、短すぎず長すぎずEarthyな良さ。頑張ったご褒美に彼との素敵なデートの締め括りとして。年一よりはもう少しカジュアルに、頑張った日のご褒美ワインとして最適。 — 11 years ago
Oh yah, who could forget this wine! — 13 years ago
This was quite nice with lots of brioche and yeast flavors. Maddie in the traditional method with 100% Mauzac. — 5 years ago
Wow. Fruit still strong. Aromatics stunning. — 6 years ago
Their was an earthiness where I was expecting meat and pepper. Still extremely good and with great depth. — 6 years ago
Stunning. Mature but lively. Dark and velvety — 8 years ago
Great depth and complexity. Have appreciated this particular vintage for some time — 8 years ago
1996 vintage. At Ryozanpaku in Kyoto, Japan. Medium garnet - slight bricking around the edge. Medium intensity of aromas, manure, earth, blackberry, violet creams and savoury spices. Fairly complex if slightly mature. On the palate, good fresh acidity, medium body and noticeable rounded tannins. The mid palate is flavoursome and impressive. The finish is slightly short. Probably won't benefit from further ageing. However, I suggest giving the wine 30 minutes of air before serving. — 9 years ago
2014. An aromatic, stony, and slightly waxy Chardonnay with flavors of fresh peach and the taste of snickers after the peanut taste has dissipated. Honeysuckle nose. Lip smacking acidity but fleshed out. — 10 years ago
Great nose, super complex. — 11 years ago
Absolutely one of the best wines I have ever had. So full of fruit and structure. — 12 years ago
Dark cherries, blueberries and floral undertones. Medium bodied, supple, ripe and a lovely acidity. The cherries follow through to the end. — 6 years ago
Past her prime, but still holding onto some good structure and great with our meal. — 7 years ago
Very chambolle and pretty. Darkish cloudy red. Note of wild strawberry, cherry and spices. Medium body and acidity. Could smell this for a very long time. Seductive. — 8 years ago
Similar to the clos Marion from this producer. Along with some definite perfumed notes. Really really pretty, yet still quite young. — 9 years ago
He's aging nicely.... — 10 years ago
1964. Superb. Elegant. Delicious and complex on the nose. Finish is a bit abrupt though. Fades with 1.5 hours of air but wine of the tasting in any event. — 10 years ago
