Dark cherries, blueberries and floral undertones. Medium bodied, supple, ripe and a lovely acidity. The cherries follow through to the end. — 5 years ago
This forty eight year old Clair-Dau the precursor of Bruno Clair. The last vintage made by Joseph Clair Bruno’s Grandfather. Exquisite, transcendent yet with power and grace. 1971 Vintage — 6 years ago
Very chambolle and pretty. Darkish cloudy red. Note of wild strawberry, cherry and spices. Medium body and acidity. Could smell this for a very long time. Seductive. — 7 years ago
Great depth and complexity. Have appreciated this particular vintage for some time — 7 years ago
Similar to the clos Marion from this producer. Along with some definite perfumed notes. Really really pretty, yet still quite young. — 8 years ago
A nice, smooth French Syrah from the Hermitage appellation. Heavy yet smooth with that luscious mature red fruit - tobacco ending with a hint of chocolate that presents as a “fruity” old world French red. Pair with a meal or cheese…Great glass! — 4 years ago
Their was an earthiness where I was expecting meat and pepper. Still extremely good and with great depth. — 5 years ago
Past her prime, but still holding onto some good structure and great with our meal. — 6 years ago
Bright tawny color, translucent. Exotic nose with notes of cherry, rhubarb, Asian spice, earth and raspberry. Amazing perfume. In the mouth this shows the 96 vintage battle of fruit vs acidity. Still lots of acidity and structure right now, but the fruit is running second place. Good showing overall tonight. What will this be in 5 years I'm wondering. — 7 years ago
This was quite nice with lots of brioche and yeast flavors. Maddie in the traditional method with 100% Mauzac. — 4 years ago
Tasted blind. Reddish tawny. Nose is closed and not yielding much. I get cranberries, some cherries, iron and stones, some wood. Has a high pitched character to it. Has some pucker in it yet. Tight with ample acidity. I guess 97 Vogue Bonnes Mares. In my experience this wine has had some variations in its performance. Today it was better than most, but suffered by not getting ample air before it was served. — 5 years ago
Stunning. Mature but lively. Dark and velvety — 6 years ago
Vintage 2015 / vieilles vignes vines from #cheninblanc on schist. Amazing smell. Pear, apricot, tropical fruit. And green spices: coriander, hint of parsley. Also an impression of honey. Good acidity. Well balanced. Good effort of Agnès and René Mosse. From #anjou but #vindefrance. Partnered it with red gurnard and a tomatosauce, then with cheeses. — 7 years ago

Nice color. Fruit forward nose. Notes of raspberries, rhubarb, some oak, some spice and a little damp dark soil. Nice mouth feel, with no stringent tan in or acidity. Decent finish. Has a little complexity but is missing that oomph in the mid-palate. Pretty decent for the vintage. — 3 years ago
