Perfect cork.
Fantastic ripe plum notes to the nose and palate. I don't know the exact blending percentages of the grapes, but assume CS is dominant since it's listed first on the back label. But, the Merlot is most prominent at this age and it's singing a beautiful song tonight after 3H in the decanter. Last bottle from release purchase in April 2006, winery direct. — 10 months ago
High intensity aromas of black fruits - blackberries, black currants, blueberries. Dark and milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee and sage. Palate matches the nose but interestingly, not as intense as you would expect from the bouquet. — 4 months ago
It didn’t go well with turkey—what actually does?—but damn this was excellent. Deep, complex, tannin very well managed, surprising acidity. 14.4% alc. Second killer bottle of this. It’s going to be hard to leave the last one alone for a few more years! — 9 months ago
2021 Vintage as good as always. Happy days. — 3 years ago
Nice characteristically Châteauneuf blend, only a bit lighter 13.5%, easier in the palette, and very nicely smoothed in time 1998 drank in 2025 — 5 months ago
Good example of great Aussie aged Semillon for a very reasonable price. — 3 years ago
Ripe, juicy berry and spice flavours from a winemaker who knows what he is doing. A classic Barossa shiraz with many years of good drinking. — 4 years ago

Winderlea Vineyard & Winery – Chardonnay 2018 🍇✨
Willamette Valley, Oregon – USA 🇺🇸
This isn’t just any Chardonnay — it’s one of the finest I’ve tasted from this region in years 🙌. Terroir-driven and crafted from a brilliant vineyard blend: Carabella in Chehalem Mountains (35%), Hyland & Meredith Mitchell in McMinnville (33% & 23%), and Winderlea Estate in Dundee Hills (9%). This mosaic of sites brings perfect harmony and depth to the glass.
Style: Burgundian elegance with an Oregon soul 🌿.
Flavor: Rich, succulent mouthfeel layered with peach 🍑, apricot 🍯, bright apple 🍏, and a gentle whisper of toast.
Mouthfeel: Well-structured & balanced — complex yet endlessly drinkable. Even now, at 2018, it still beams with lively acidity ⚡ and a creamy, enticing finish.
💰 a bit pricier for the region, but every sip confirms it’s worth it.
Cheers to Oregon brilliance! 🥂
