An absolute beauty. The perfume on this thing is exquisite. Violets, spicy pepper, and smokey bacon fat. Palate has a nice twist of funk at this early stage and ends with a solid tannic presence. I would blind this against any american syrah and guarantee it would hold its own, craziest part is it will only continue to develop. — 7 years ago

OMG was this good. Surprisingly accessible in its infancy. The wine is clear and light colored red with very mild tannins. Loaded with dark berries, both the sweet and acidic side. As it got a bit more air, the 65% Zin in the blend showed through with delicious jammy-ness. The rest of this shipment go in the cellar for a least a few years.. — 6 years ago

An old gewurz-dominant field blend, that comes across especially perfumed and seemingly with a pinch of residual sugar. For whatever reason, this particular bottling has been my least favorite of the various Zinfandel vintage and vineyard combinations I’ve had from Bedrock. Don’t get me wrong - t’s certainly fine. It just doesn’t grab me beyond that. — 8 years ago
