Nose is multidimensional which consistently reveals the tasting profile. Rich, creamy foundation with Meyer lemon, pineapple, and apricot poking through. Structurally matches with nice acid balancing the richness. This is rounder and softer than I expected for a young Peay. Drinking very well already. — 4 years ago
A great dinner party red - not too easy to drink that you drink without really registering anything except “red wine” but not one you have to dry to decide whether you like or not. — 5 years ago
a hint of blackcurrant & good balancing acidity. — 6 years ago
Oct. 2023. From a dark gold half bottle. Lusciously sweet and suave with plenty of balancing acidity. Good now with sweet and sour Asian food. Long life ahead. — 2 years ago
Very elegant with Medium intensity aromas and flavors of apple, pineapple, apricot, white peach, nectarine, elderflower, brioche, clove, vanilla and smoke.
Hint of dried apricot and honey.
Very good quality, balancing aromatics with a hint of oak. Interesting style with batonnage, 18% new French oak — 2 years ago

Pretty deep colour . Still quite deep fruited , mint blackcurrant , spice , violet . Nice weight on the palate with nice detailed black fruits. Really nice definition with a touch of spice , dried herbs. Nice balancing acidity , with rounded tannins just still noticeable. Good length, really balanced and incredibly enjoyable. Enjoyed over 2 and half hours with no oxidation . This is at it’s peak now , if you have them open the bottles ! — 2 years ago
Ripe fruits, black cherry, cherry cola, raspberry, blackberry
Salty, smoky, cured meat savoriness, slight herbal character
Medium to full bodied with balancing acidity, the palate has a refreshing tart red cherry note. Long finish.
A really nice Sonoma coast PN, if a bit bigger than I personally like — 4 years ago
This Chateau Lafon Rochet from the superb 2005 vintage is beaming with elegance, still a bit young, yet delicious, sublime and tempting.
My old tasting note stays firm as I go through the case, the nose is a bit restrained yet tempting and complex, notes of black currents, leather, earth, oak, dust and pepper. The body is full with round tannins and balancing acidity, the finish is long and chewy. I recommend a couple of hours decanting before enjoying at this early stage.
My score 91, drink to 2030 — 5 years ago
The 2009 Donnhoff Hermannshohle is rich and ample in the glass, showing sweet peaches and pear, with hints of kiwi, honeysuckle, and white smoke. It races across the palate with precision and poise, delivering mineral-tinged orchard fruits, perfectly balancing weighty textures and ripeness with an acid-mineral thrust. The finish is long and floral, complemented by lingering flavors of lime and green apple with cheek puckering tension. Wow! — 5 years ago
On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, the youths (mostly college)! Our conductor Andris Nelsons is leading one operatic work from WAGNER (Die Walküre, Act I). This is our WAGNER weekend with the BSO, Acts II & III will be performed tomorrow afternoon and evening.
On the nose we have light cedar box, black pepper, ripe blackberries/strawberries and voilet blossom. On the palate we have chalky Pinot fruits, sweet spice notes, earthy/loamy minerals, ripe cherry and blackberry. In a very nice place tonight! — 6 years ago

This wine has a deep ruby hue with medium(+) intensity of ripe and supple black plum, red plum, fig, black cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, violet, licorice, leather, sweet tobacco, cedar box, nutmeg, cardamom, coconut, and dill notes.
On the palate, this wine is dry with medium(+) acidity balancing smooth medium(+) tannins and the ripeness of aroma and flavor characteristics. It is delicious!!! And complex. It has runway for further aging in bottle. — 2 years ago
