Clear and bright light ruby , thin garnet rim . Fresh and aromatic rose and light red cherry , touch of light dried herbs with an earthy hint . On the palate this has bright red fruits , pure and elegant, fruit driven with red cherry , spiced red plum , and an earthy , menthol hint . Fresh acidity but with a still relatively juicy mouthfeel. Slightly grippy tannins and just noticable alcohol . Good length and overall balance . Drink now and over the next 5 years or so . — a month ago
91+, a baby and needs 1 hour to open up. More fruit and density than usual, but just a smodge more than normal, pretty consistent! — 2 months ago
Smooth and genuinely pleasing. Celebrating 80. 22/5-2025 (Kjær & Sommerfeldt) — 2 months ago
Surprised but very happy that this 2007 wine was drinking great with a lot of berries and a slight bit of tar. Nice long finish and an all around very enjoyable. — 3 days ago
Medium ruby , slightly wider ruby, garnet rim . Slightly more closed and serious ,spiced cherries , menthol , liquorice and dried rosemary and thyme . On the palate this shows good red fruits , with raspberry , red cherry , spiced red plum , with dried herbs and a liquorice hint . Quite gritty tannins and fresh acidity , saline tinged finish of good length . This needs a little more time , better in 2-5 years and will show well a further 5 or so — a month ago
Picked this up at Motor City Wine in Detroit and am obsessed. Invigorating mouthfeel, complex flavor, light enough to sip and lovely with a slight chill. This will be one I keep my eyes peeled for on every shopping trip for years to come!! — 12 days ago
Popped in poured; no formal notes. The 2020 Pithos Rosso is, to my palate, a lovely Sicilian alternative to Beaujolais. Delicious, refreshingly fruity and just a touch wild. Sufficient structure to provide enjoyment for the near term, but I would just as well drink now. I really enjoy these wines. — a month ago
