Very fresh and so easy to drink. Berries and a little fizz on the palate with a nose that is really close to Ashton Pinot Noir from Gentle Folk. Amazing wine. Must buy again. — 7 years ago
Found this for 6.99 in Troy Alabama at a gas station on my way to the beaches of 30A. My rating does reflect that price, but how wonderful to find a true Pinot Noir inside a roadside gas station. Forest floor with soft and sour fruit and a pop of freshness throughout. — 8 years ago
Fantastic, with surf and turf. Picked up at Costco for 40 — 8 years ago
Sparkling Shiraz is an Aussie specialty and very appropriate on Christmas Day. This is interesting in that it is made by Ashton Hills with fruit from a 97 year old vineyard in the Clare owned by Wendouree. A rich mouth filling plummy palate with a gentle mousse soft tannins and acid with a long finish. Delicious! — 9 years ago
There is a legend behind this grape that after successfully defeating the City of Troy with his Trojan horse, Diomedes is said to have travelled to northern Puglia, where he founded the City of Troia, planting the vine cuttings he brought with him. It’s a delicious wine bursting with dark cherry flavor with a nice long finish. Another nice grape from Italy that I am enjoying! — 7 years ago
Blackberry, raspberry, vanilla, mossy earth, cherry and oak. Great structure and well-integrated tannins. — 7 years ago

Is this the best to date? Since 2002 I am not sure I have seen a better Kalleske Greenock in its youth. 2012 was excellent with 2013 being a tad more elegant but in the end as excellent. As for this vintage, more on the darker fruit spectrum with spice influences. Appears at first like a full frontal assault that settles down as the senses become attuned. Love it...well done Troy and Tony and team. — 8 years ago
I've been on the hunt for this for a while now, and I'm happy to finally get some in my glass. The juicy cab franc with its spicy and peppery undertones does take in a Loire direction, but then the zweigelt adds a different sort of funk that pushes it into new territory. A lot going on here for such a quaffable wine, and it comes across as dynamic, alive and idiosyncratic. It also pushes all my happy buttons. Yum. Holla @Phil Ashton! — 8 years ago
Nice acidity. Balanced. No wonder $40. Colin did not taste zin. Won’t be a every night wine. — 6 years ago
Cherry, raspberry, currant, slate and watermelon. Great acidity and balance. — 7 years ago
Pretty rose gold color, interesting blend of Grenache, Mouved, and Counnoise (which I have never heard of). Fresh floral notes and red fruits on the nose, healthy acid, citrus. Little bit of bitterness on medium length/complexity finish. Very drinkable, though not remarkable. — 8 years ago
