I just made a tasting note and somehow Delectable ate my tasting note. This wine was deep Ruby red- call it black - impenetrable. A dense tarry note with blackberry, dry herbs, black liquorice and hints of pipe tobacco. Rich, full bodied and delicious. Sumptuous. A reference point in terms of single vineyard rioja in Spain. Displays no signs of age. Beautiful nose of cedar and blueberry pie. So well balanced on the mid palate displaying depth, volume and a touch of barrel toast. Tannins are still prominent, but regal. This was a dream bottle tonight. — a year ago
