Medium lemon color, with Tropical and stone fruit aromas with complex spice and oak notes. On the palate flavors of ripe apple, melon and citrus, creamy, with toasty oak, fig and honey tones. Long finish ending with fruit, oak and spicy mineral character. A big wine! — 10 months ago

An all time fav, apple, light peach, spatlese sweetness. No petrol notes. — 8 years ago
Deep -- and I do mean *deep* -- gold in the glass. Big nose of golden delicious apples, wet hay, and caramel corn. Voluptuous full body and medium plus acidity wrap up the multi-layered palate of baked apple, straw, dry caramel, and any number of other flavors depending on where it is in the pass through the mouth. Hearty. A meal in itself, but oh how it shines with scallops and risotto! — 9 years ago
Just good enough to fall into the love category. Loads of limestone and lees with citrus blossom, tart green apple, honeydew rind. Creamy mouthfeel. — 10 years ago
Pear, Apple, brioche, lemon zest, white pepper and white flowers. M+ acid, m body, citrus and minerality. Rich full body, creamy. Long finish. — 11 years ago
Apple flavors. Alcohol taste. Great champagne! Hejdå huset i Torekov:(... — 12 years ago
Pop and pour. A brilliant medium gold color. On the nose: lemon, grilled pear, crushed stone, apricot, caramel, and honey. Taste: chalky, lean acid driven style with pear, steely minerality, green apple, saline, orange/lemon rind, and a medium plus finish. YUM! My favorite Napa chardonnay. — 9 months ago

It’s hard to find fully shed classic Viura (white Rioja) anymore but old-school Lopez de Heredia clings to tradition. This wine, nearly 10 years old on release, is fascinating - aged to the point of considerable oxidation yet it retains its fruit ands acidity. Bruised apple, ripe pear, golden raisin, orange peel, flint, wet stones, and hay happily coexist with hazelnut, dried orange peel, coconut, baking spices ands more. The medium acidity is a firm foundation to a richly textured wine, Long finish too! — 9 months ago
Today notes, some sour apple, a sweetness of orchard fruit. Lovely balance, complexity and acidity.. delicious — 2 years ago
Very grassy. Key lime pie, green apple, and a load of primary yeast flavor. This is beautifully balanced and I think it will benefit from some time in bottle. Disgorged 2019 — 6 years ago
Day 4 in Napa in the books! Running a day behind on notes...Napa time runs slow AND fast!
Another year, another insane meet up with @jesus g ! We had the pleasure of hanging out with him twice this time, once at the Davies tasting room and a second time when he gave us an awesome private, VIP like experience at the Schramsberg caves!
This ‘09 JSchram, which is their more Blanc de Blanc style, is young bit delicious. Lemon bar, apple crisp, cashew, meringue and and just beginning to show some honeycomb/honeyed melon notes. I decided I like the JSchram with more age and enjoy the Reserve at a younger age. — 7 years ago

Dry floral funky so good — 8 years ago
Crisp and off-dry. A delicious blend of the three fruits which deliver a great balance. Subtle bubbles providing a little play for the tongue. — 9 years ago
Quite simply a crowd pleaser. Notes of peaches, apple, nectarine. Nice acidity and balance. And a great QPR. Well done Charles Smith yet again. — 11 years ago
Subtly perfumey and very easy to cash — 12 years ago
Tart, green apple flavors with racy acidity. — 12 years ago
I tasted this same 2010 about a year ago and wondered it would improve with further aging. I think the answer is yes.
This time around it shows more layered profile, with bruised apple, honeysuckle, beeswax, citrus peel, and wet stone leading the nose. The palate is broad and textured. Acidity has shaved off some hard edges, yet remains focus and intense. Engaging long finish. — 9 months ago

They are the King’s of Champagne for a reason.
Beautiful mousse. Both yellow & white stone fruits, tropicals, lime & lemon zest/pulp, green & red apple, cream to whipped cream, ginger skin, grey volcanics-limestone minerals, white spice, taunt chalk, baguette crust, sea fossils/foam, white spring flowers, yellow lilies, excellent acidity, balance, structure, tension & elegance for days with a finish that ends balanced on fruit & minerality.

A bit of tartness. Lemon, apple, pear, stonefuit, and petrol. — 5 years ago
New world Chablis emulation but with a little more ripe fruit character and butter notes. Butter mochi, ripe green apple, cooked apples. Really tart finish with duality if fruit character. 0 new oak usage in this wine, fermented in used oak barrels and battonage for a year. Not your typical Napa chardonnay by any means but elegant and pretty. Perfumed and pretty. — 8 years ago
Very good. Crisp, smooth, good amount of acidity. Fruits of pear, apricot and a hint of apple. — 8 years ago
Peach, light floral notes, green apple. YUMMY — 9 years ago
Very pale green color with buttered toast, green apple, lemon, lime and wet stone aromas. On the palate it's approaches medium-bodied and is very fresh with green apple, mixed citrus and a hint of white peach flavors and an appealing minerality with a lingering finish. — 10 years ago
The nose is like warm buttered bread. Nice notes of apple-pear and apricot with an excellent finish. Great level of acidity. — 11 years ago
Fantastic value. Green apple, citrus, pear. Great nose, great finish. — 12 years ago

Been awhile since I’ve had this one. Always consistently good.
Beautiful mousse, bruised red apple & Bosc pear, underripe pineapple flesh, blood orange, quince, nougat, hints of white peach, white spice-ginger, whipped cream, yeasty bread dough, sea spray, speckled chalk bits, grey volcanics, limestone, withering yellow lilies/flowers, crisp acidity, well tensioned-structured, well balanced and elegant finish that last two-minutes.
