I bought this wine in Toledo during my UCL trip in Spain because I saw many restaurants in Seville, Toledo, & Madrid have this wine in menu and on display.
Dark & fresh ruby red color with very nice aromas of red cherry and cool herbs on the nose. Full-bodied together with savory flavors of ripe & fresh red cherry, vanilla-mocha, and spicy tobacco on the palate. Conplex & strong structure, nice & solid tannins, and reasonable length on the finish. Perfect wine to pair with iberico & cheese. — 7 years ago

Espectacular. Potencia y muy redondo a la vez, buena madera. — 6 years ago
Dark purple with no trace of oxidation (worries about that based on shelf position local Toledo wine shop). Not much on the nose but just opened.
Lush black raspberry and a bit of spice . Soft tannins but standing up well to anchovies and capers on pizza . A very good cab. — 7 years ago

Good value Mencia. Plums (almost prunes) and violets on the nose. Cooked dark berry jam and beef jerky flavors on the pallet. Rugged but acceptable tannin structure. Smokey finish. Good QPR. — 7 years ago
yum! All the best parts of a Reserva...that keeps changing with each sip. Perfect balance. Pepper. dark fruits. cassis. undergrowth heaven. nicely oaky vanilla. Enjoying this winner looking over Toledo, Spain — 8 years ago
Disappointed the first night thinking it was a bit short and watery under some typical dark earthy fruit... But second night revealed more character with a palette laser memory to a chicken hearts flambade from Toledo Spain... Which I'm not sure was a good thing... But had character and compelling. — 10 years ago

Didn't love it at first, but oddly enough a couple days later (vacuum corked but it opened up a bit anyway) I really loved it. — 6 years ago
