Better than the plain Sangiovese- smoother and nice finish. Hints of fruits in the nose. Pleasant with pastas. — 7 years ago

Nose - gardenia, chamomile, ocean and clay pot. Appearance - Super duper clean. Beautiful light straw color. Main tasting notes - tart lemon all day with a little bit of grapefruit. Pretty acidic with a longer acid finish but the acid works well with the lemon flavor. Really nice with a spicy summer chicken dish. Not always a fan of acidic whites but this hits the spot. — 9 months ago

Old-school Italian wine that is perfect for pizza. Somewhat thin and alcoholic but typical of wines served in Italian restaurants in Brooklyn when I was small. Flavorful and a perfect match to the marinara sauce of New York Patsy’s Pizzeria or Joe & Pat’s. — 9 months ago
This takes some time to open up. Once it does, this light-colored gives up delicate scents of cracked stones, mossy forest underbrush, and wild cherry. Lean but flavorful, with lithe flavors of crisp cherry and rock dust. Loads of acids and a bit of fine-grained tannin on the structural side. Will go nicely with the risotto I just finished and is quietly resting for a few minutes! — 7 years ago

When you see DRC on the label it’s difficult not to have preconceptions. The nose pops with red cherries ,stems and spice. The palate is hit with weighty red and black fruit which carries a healthy dose of acid. Surprisingly lacked the complexity and finish I was hoping for from a vintage like this let alone the producer. — 2 months ago
