Absolutely a very good red blend. The flavor is outstanding. Will definitely stock up on this. — 6 years ago
Great mouthful of heavy tannins. Amazing dark fruit, tobacco and cedar. — 7 years ago
Luving Mondavi’s new line of barrel aged wines. A beautiful twist on the same old varietal wines. This merlot is my favorite. I highly recommend the bourbon barrel aged Chardonnay too. — 7 years ago
One of our favorites to drink during our Friday night dungeons and dragons campaigns. Pairs well with both Orcs and Elves which is surprising. — 7 years ago

Thanks @Eric Hoepelman ! Ben geen cognac drinker maar toch van genoten👊 — 8 years ago
This was excellent and rich with cherry cola, hints of vanilla, and a tiny bit of spice. It was a great finisher that went well with the hearty sausage Minestrone followed by a vanilla Bundt cake. — 5 years ago
Smooth and elegant. Acidic w mineral and white pepper notes w just a touch of Brett. I imagine this is what Syrah tasted like 100 years ago. 😊🙏🍷 — 6 years ago

Balanced but fruit is front and center through to the finish with a soft velvety tongue. The bourbon barrels come through with a deliciously harmonious, and unique surprise. — 7 years ago

Not really a "purist" wine but who cares?... Those guys are a bunch of Jackwagons. It's best to not think of this as a wine and more as a delightful hybrid alcoholic beverage. It is really obvious that the bourbon barrels are heavily influencing the flavor here and that is right up my alley. I wouldn't want every wine to be like that but what this one does, it does well. It's really in a completely different category than a straight-up Zin and should be judged accordingly. — 5 years ago
I really liked it. Smooth easy to drink. Can taste the subtleties of the bourbon barrels. 16% alc/vol without harsh alcohol burn. 2016 vintage. — 7 years ago

Inspired by the “Apotheca”, a mysterious place where some of the earliest wine was blended and stored, Apothic wines offers a truly unique wine experience.
A red blend emerges from the flames, creating a most unexpected and masterful encounter.
Paying tribute to a time-honored craft, this wine has been aged for 60 days in whiskey barrels, creating bold notes of red and dark fruit with layers of maple and spice. — 2 years ago
