Waited 18 years to open this beauty. 25 is probably the right number. It was still tightly closed. Delicious and very nice but I could tell it needed more time to really shine. Oh well. Not sure I have that much time left. It was a 75th BDay present to myself. — 4 years ago
Tastes good but $25. You can find better wine for less — 5 years ago
And in this corner, from Napa Valley California, weighing in at 25 ounces, the most overrated wine for the price: Caymus! — 6 years ago
Delicious, but still could use some time to let the enormous fruit flesh out a bit... — 7 years ago
A Great night to say the least:
Magnum of Gargiulo money ranch road,
2000 Bryant, 25 year Macalllan. Totally forgot to post this pick from a few weeks back!
The Bryant drank as good as any French Bordeaux that I’ve ever had. The money ranch toad was mediocre in comparison and the 25 year Macallan was 2nd only to the amazing company we had in our house that night!!
Great times to say the least!

[Tasted on January 25, 2025 at Home with Tom, Kathy, Mark and Lucille]
84% Cabernet Sauvignon; 5.5% Merlot; 5.5% Cabernet Franc; 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. Blackberry and black currant fruit, with chocolate, espresso, earth and a mineral note. Nicely balanced. — 10 months ago

2016 vintage drinks nicely, and at $25-30 for an Oak Knoll Napa is an incredible value. — 5 years ago

Great champagne blend with sharp bubbles and toasted caramel notes. Some green apple. Excellent especially at $25. — 7 years ago
Beautifully intense and balanced. Dark red fruit with resolved oak and hints of tobacco, and dried herbs. A gorgeous long finish with tangy blue fruit. Still very vigorous after almost 25 years. Yum. — 7 years ago
Enjoyed on 1/25/25. Vintage 2023. $25. Always a fan of wines from Paso Robles. This doesn’t disappoint. A solid Cab. Yes, a little young but it will get even better. — 10 months ago
50% Sangiovese; 25% Merlot; 25% Cabernet Sauvignon — 2 years ago
Cubillo is a beautiful anomaly in a sea of $25 wines.
It’s the youngest of the lot, but the signature stamp is there, so obviously LDH Tempranillo.
Velvet milk chocolate, ripe black cherries, brand new leather boots. Rich and loaded with cocoa and coffee and raisiny red berries.
It looks like motor oil. Heck it has almost a decade in bottle. Plenty of acid to smooth out over time.
We should be stock piling this - quality and price don’t intersect so well very often. — 4 years ago
A beautiful Chardonnay! Only 15 acres planted with grapes grown in Rutherford (warmer with rich ripe fruit) & Oak Knoll (cooler with fresh acidity in grapes). Pale lemon, with fresh & crisp citrus & stone fruit aromas, no malolactic ferm. Palate shows peach, apple & Asian pear flavors, with lemony & toasty notes, lively acidity & balance with touch of vanilla oak (9 months of French oak aging (25% new & 1-year old, remainder neutral oak). Long finish ending with fruit, spice & biscuit notes. Nice Value! — 5 years ago
Great company. Great meal. Great wine! — 6 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed with brunch. The Trento Brut pours a light straw color with persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of yellow apple, white peach, fresh brioche, lemon curd and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. Easily some of the best bubbles available for $25. Disgorged in 2024. Drink now. — 10 months ago
