1st bottle was bad.. musty cork flavor... next 3 perfect — 6 years ago
It’s really difficult to achieve power and elegance at the same time but this wine achieves it beautifully. Still a baby, it should continue to improve over the next 5-10 years. 39% Chardonnay, 37% Pinot Noir and 24% Meunier. The 1st time Chardonnay has dominated the blend. 11 years on lees; 5g/L dosage — 7 years ago

Second time trying this '66, it's better than the 1st, such an amazing combination of fruit intensity & development, aromatic complexity for days, & when open for an hour so much purity of darker berried fruit, seriously outstanding wine. — 8 years ago
Beautiful bottle right here. 1st place at our Christmas dinner tasting of grand cru burgundy (red/white) and premier grand cru classe bordeaux — 8 years ago

Contemplative wine... — 8 years ago
A brilliant wine. A complex wine. But also a young wine. Like a Loire 1st Growth. Needs 5-6 years. But amazing. And yes amazing in 2014. Can’t imagine 2015. Well yes I can. Anyway, deep nose, ethereal nose, woodland berry, forest, lord of the rings deep thicket forest, spice, herbaceous, tobacco, mineral, so so so deep, so so 1st growth Bordeaux but oddly more left than right bank even tho it’s Cab Franc. Superb but in 5-6 years watch out this will wreck Bordeaux 5-6-7 times more expensive than it. Amazing depth. It’s a substantial wine, with unreal fruit density and small berry fruit intensity and superb balance and length. Blackberry fruit that is so well defined and so vivid. Incredible minerality on the finish. Big structure but also amazing elegant and toothsome tannins. Masterful tannins that master the vintage. The blackberry fruit and minerality just coats your palate and does not quit. Easily best 2014 red Loire I’ve tasted. Brilliant wine. — 6 years ago

A milestone birthday requires some fun wines! 1st bottle to polish off is a 2008 Marcassin chard with Hog Island oysters, butter poached lobster, and shrimp.
Double decant for fine cloudy sediment. An irresistible medium gold color.. On the nose: nectarines, pineapple, vanilla toast, lemon, and crushed rocks. Taste: so gooood after 12 years. A slightly creamy wine with carmalized pear, wet stones, lemon peel, and a mineral peach long finish with good acidity. — 5 years ago
