The 2010 Emidio Pepe was like a young version of the 2001. Dark cherries, tar, spice. The finish is eternal. No doubt it would likewise age forever.

Wow - a completely novel wine experience for me. Imagine red Bandol made by chocolate-covered Italian elves. Rich and mocha-laden, with a core of toasted cocoa and sour cherry. Finely grained tannins go on forever. Perfect match for Wagyu! Awesome.

Belated post of a very special vacation Wine; this was my first time getting to really sit down and enjoy an Emidio Pepe and give it my full concentration. The 2010 is actually in a great spot right now very tertiary: dried red fruit and earth and lots of smoky meat like flavors! It was a splurge and I’m glad I did it 😊

Glorious smooth as a baby’s butt. Weightless accompaniment to Christmas tenderloin and Yorkshire pudding and decadent mashed potatoes. Ripe, rich, blackberry, ripe cherry, with impeccable balance. I buy a few bottles each year… but this is what I’m looking for. Merry Christmas to one and all.

Popped and poured. Excellent right from the get go. Soft elegant fruit and earthy flavors.

Dark, brooding and decadent. A complex and balanced wine that was hands down the best Montepulciano we've drunk. Merry Christmas!
