Oh wow, this is #valpolicellaripasso is lovely, bolt of cassis, bramble fruit and just this really faint undertone of peppery spice. Though this is Ripasso it’s very lithe on the palate - not weighty at all, fleshy acidity and that subtle peppery spice on the finish. This bottle will disappear fast, with or without a meal pairing. #corvina — 9 months ago
#corvina #croatina #merlot rosso blend made by partially dried grapes. Dried currants, prune and earthy spice nose followed up bright acidity on the palate, light to medium concentration tasting of raisins, leather and pepper on the finish stretching across a quite dry character. @Ely Cohn pretty much read my mind with his notes. Moderate bricking on edges in glass - check, Dark cherry, raspberry nose, some cocoa and a touch of sous bois on the finish - check. The ultra-soft tannins were noticeable in their faintness. Lovely wine for the price which has aged nicely over seven years; likely near peak. #verona #corvina — 3 years ago

As you all know one of the three#valpolicella grapes. #corvina this one is only 13% alcohol. It’s clean it’s aromatic. It’s lightly passified/dried and you can taste that soft tannin, and that balsamic beautiful texture and flavor that goes great with Italian food and charcuterie, and it only cost me two euros.
