Great wine for the price — 10 years ago
LOVE IT! Considering I was riding a big wheel when it came out, it was an extremely nostalgic experience to enjoy. After one hour breathing it opened up into a beautiful red head. Game, purple grape (if that makes sense), leather, smoke, and musty basement. Wish I had another. On to the 81'... — 10 years ago
Dry and bubbly. Won from the wheel at Spats which makes it only that much more amazing. — 10 years ago
Served chilled in a wooden box, smooth, bold with peach fruit and vanilla notes. — 10 years ago
Very much alive after 50+ years with aromas reminiscent of cherries, dried plums, licorice, orange peel, cedar akin to an old wooden cabinet, old leather, tobacco, earthiness, minute hints of celery and fennel, a slight veil of oxidation that adds to a slightly spicy beef broth undertone. Amazing dense oily texture to the wine but it still remains quite light, sour red fruit flavors as it enters the mouth with some blackberries, the midpalate reveals some savory beef broth notes mixed with balsamic notes that continue on to the long lasting spicy finish with discrete creamy notes. — 11 years ago

My fav! Jerry O's vino. So good. Great price point at $24. — 10 years ago
Light, served in a wooden box, cherries, black currant , mild fruit- smooth flavor with a crisp. — 10 years ago
Buttery, without the actual wooden tones, which makes it absolutely perfect with fish and a light spice marinade! — 11 years ago
Lingonberries, strawberries, leather and wooden tones. Impressive clarity of flavour. Like an autumn day in the woods bottled for my enjoyment. — 11 years ago
It definitely needs to breathe a but but its good. Fruity without being too sweet. I drank it after a long work week and frankly it did the trick! Worth a try and a good wine to bring to a party of non/wine drinkers alike. — 11 years ago
Crisp, but not too sweet. — 12 years ago
'Orange' wine made from Friuli's autochthonous Ribolla Gialla grapes, fermented with the skins in open wooden casks: oak and ripe yellow fruit in the nose, juicy mouth feel, lots of character, very well managed power, this 2009 vintage will keep for another decade. — 13 years ago
Your friend comes back from Hawaii and they bring you a lava rock which they’re not supposed to because it’s bad, bad, very bad luck but you always had a thing for risking the superstitious odds and not sending along chain emails, so you’re into this bad luck rock. They also bring you a lei with less flowers than you’ve seen on leis at the dollar store but you put it on and crack your best pseudo smile for them because dammit they love you and they did what they could, short of bringing you on their romantic vacation. Honestly if they did bring you, you know you’d get into one of your “moods” and not only would you be a hard third wheel, you’d also be named the pity party hostess of the year. Cherries, ash, dried flowers, tannic structure like a good skipping stone. — 8 years ago
Very beautiful wine. Great balance and acidity for a reasonable price. Dark fruit flavor with a bit of a floral and eucalyptus component. Big surprise!! Exceptional value from a Wine producing region that is growing in quality. — 10 years ago
Blind smell, I'd guess a wheel of Brie. Cheese rind, faint fruit. Wow. Tastes like ...richness, oil, melon, tropical. The contrast between the nose and the taste is interesting. I love it. — 10 years ago
Classic Napa cab from Paul Hobbs, this one is probably past peak by a couple of years but still drinking beautifully. Great aromatics, full-bodied on the palate with great balance, it's an example of how well CA wines can age with a great winemaker at the wheel! — 10 years ago

Steak & claret night is always better with friends! Thanks to super Dave and Gabby for coming over and drinking this magnum with us. This herbal, light bodied Cabernet was in my wheel house and a refreshing partner to NY steak, baked potato and grilled Caesar salad. I think I got a little carried away with it! — 11 years ago
Complex and not too sweet. Citrus and floral flavors. Delicious! — 11 years ago
Not my wheel house. Bit excellent. Some structure. Balance. Fruit. Acid plays nicely. Yes. — 12 years ago
So much flavor! From Le Marche. Bold, wooden, full body! Bens pick at Corsino — 13 years ago

Fresh green pepper and succulent ripe blackberry on the nose. Balsamicky goodness, makes you think it should be super thick in consistency but it carries a light delicate mouthful. Yummy yummy. Pour this over your salad, your pork chop, in your bath, any place that needs the soft spots marinated. Likey, likey. — 8 years ago
