One of my all-time favorites. Explosive on the tongue, fruit forward. A lingering aftertaste — a year ago
Still youthful with dense , purple to the eye and earthy graphite to nose with blackberry on the tongue. Great richness and long finish. — 5 years ago
Beautiful classic Pinot with lots of bright red fruit. Laying some down for a few years. — 2 months ago
Amazing Pinot. Delightful and rich and spicy undertones. — 3 months ago
Excellent. Crisp savory and rolls across the tongue. Layers here and it is a great compliment to the special evening. — 4 years ago
Delicate crisp feel in the mouth with grapefruit notes. Lingers on the tongue but not too strong in the throat. Fruity notes, paired perfectly with fishy dishes. Would recommend to a friend. — 5 years ago
1989 vintage. Last tasted 3 years ago (9.6). Nice fill. Durand used to open. Cork 95% saturated with extensive bottle rim cleaning involved before pouring. Not decanted. Tight, minty nose throughout along with a decided, lingering zinc note under the tongue at the finish line. Tasted 2 hours after opening. Power but without delineation. Just a consistent, forgettable push. Nothing wrong with the wine...it just needed more air/time and a decant but it wasn't my call. Feel like the zinc flavor would have dissipated/blown off with more time. Good but more memorable for what it wasn't vs what it was. Pity and an entire wasting of what could have been. 11.21.25. — a month ago
I guess I’m drinking this too soon! Need to better manage the cellar… tremendous fruit on the nose as I decanted that became more vegetal with time. Bright and leathery on the tongue, rich and luscious in the mouth. Strong tannins — easy to see how others are enjoying it at twice the age. — 2 years ago

Hate to be a typical wine drinker, but there was a smooth and velvety taste with a continuous bite at the end. Completely coats the tongue with flavor from start to finish. — 22 days ago
