Spent the afternoon in Mosel at the gorgeous new Selbach-Oster tasting room with Barbara and Johannes Selbach. Every single wine they opened was incredible. Bright, balanced and beautiful from the Troken to the off dry and even the old late harvest Johannes treated us to. Celebrating after Australia’s most famous horse 🐎 race The Melbourne Cup our horse Johannes Vermeer came 2nd by a neck in the Downs Club Calcutta. This Wine from New Zealand was a Northern Rhone style with notes of Meat Bacon Spices and Pepper. Love this medium bodied style finishing with savoury tannins. — 7 years ago
