Hofgut Falkenstein
Niedermenniger Herrenberg Spätlese Feinherb Riesling

Light at only 8 percent alcohol. A session wine maybe!? Good purity and focus. Slightly sweet but not clawing. A small glass was fine for me, but the several foot high magnum had lots more to offer for those who wanted it.

Lots of zip and vigor. Tastes more like a Kabinett, elegant, with great lift.

Just a hint of sweetness with some pears, apples and maybe? cotton candy. So refreshing and I just REALLY LOVE Riesling.
There was this German audio series when I was younger calling Bibi und Tina (also adapted to TV and film - it may have just been called Bibi Blocksberg back in the day) where there was this one character called Alexander von Falkenstein, and honestly every time I look at this label it’s difficult not to associate the name. Either way, it’s an incredibly good wine.
