Bottle opened for lunch enjoyment earlier today, spent most of the afternoon in the decanter. Really blossoming after about 4H.
Prior notes still apply:
Nose has under-ripe, yellow stone fruits, washed lime, cut yellow apple, dry limestone slab and very minor petrol note.
Palate has sweet yellow apple, lime flesh, firm peach flesh, pineapple core with a sweet and lightly saline finish that is quite long. Very enjoyable, young wine. — 3 years ago

Ameztoi Getariako Txakolina Rubentis Rosé - Mini-Vertical
50% Hondarrabi Zuri / 50% Hondarrabi Beltza

Palate has tart strawberry, tart raspberry, minor candle wax, dried grapefruit with light tannins.
Txakolina rosé tasting on the 2020 Summer Solstice, perfect for a hot/humid day in the Berkshires. Last bottle from our cellar. — 4 years ago
Nose has blood orange flesh, cut strawberries, wet sand and dried orange pith.
Palate has ripe strawberry, squeeze of orange, lemon zest, ripe peach peel and minor mineral notes. Medium finish, uncomplicated and easily enjoyable.
This bottle is in a nice spot at two years past current vintage. Can hold until 2022-ish, of anyone has that level of patience for a fun Beaujolais rosé! — 4 years ago

Excellent old vine Carignan. Bright red fruit, earthy. — 6 years ago
Good Chardonnay with just the right amount of butteriness. Great value wine that I picked up from my local wine guy! — 3 years ago
Paired well with grilled chicken parm — 4 years ago
Lemon, peach, rose nose, very well balanced complex flavors, strawberry — 4 years ago
Nose has grilled lemon, baked green apple with sugar and wet granite, the French oak regimen seems a little more dominant then to my liking.
Palate has lemon juiced over cut green apple, lemon zest, decent FLX terrior with minor salinity and dry soil.
A young bottle, as I still complain about 2017 Chablis being too sharp and needing much more time. No overloaded acidity here, but I do see potential in this bottle for pleasant development in another 4-6 years. — 4 years ago
It’s a yes from me — 4 years ago
Nice bold taste - cherry taste - bought at hy vee 12.99 — 4 years ago
A pre-dinner bottle while we do meal prep tonight.
Prior notes still apply:
Nose has lime zest, lime juice, green hay, wet granite/limestone pebbles, oxidized green apple peel, polyethylene tubing and tangerine peel.
Palate has Key lime flesh, cold tangerine slice, apricot skin, wet-pulverized limestone, lemongrass, tangerine zest, (minor) dried apricot and light honey on the medium finish, medium acid, great balance. — 3 years ago
Nose has over-ripe stinky cherry, dry leather, moist leather, old horse pasture, tomato leaf, blackberry, dried blueberry, dried mint, saturated oak and old cigar.
Palate has blackberry, partially dried cherry, dried raspberry, (minor) moist garden soil, wet raisins with soft tannins and a long finish. Decanted 4H and it's finally starting to really open up.
Mid-shoulder fill on this particular bottle, remaining bottles are looking better. Quite reminiscent of older Bordeaux in the nose/palate traits.
(BTW I love the old labels when they used to underscore the Cabernet Sauvignon, for me it's always been Cabernet Bosché, history in a bottle!) — 4 years ago
Wine 6/12 (Pinot Noir aka 'Peanut of the Night')
Nose has ripe cherry, tree bark, roses, blood orange slice, minor cedar notes, molasses cookie and fresh blackberry.
Palate has dried strawberry, ripe cherry, dried citrus, tart cherry, molasses, baking spices with notable tannins/acidity, a very long finish.
A perfect wine for any party, if you don't like this there might be something wrong with you. Are you a dyed-in-the-wool White Zinfandel fan, maybe this isn't your game then.
Once again it is notable that I have made one full trip around the Sun earlier this week. We had our small, social bubble team to the house for celebrating my getting older and somewhat less flexible in advancing age...Whatever will be done when I creast 50? Well, at least it's several years until needing manage that concern.
We enjoyed well-salted Ribeyes (Kinderhook Farm - Valatie, NY, prepared 48h in advance), turning to a beautiful medium-rare after a mere 12m of grill time and smashed, small red potatoes with capers (yeah try it, don't judge me yet). None of the bottles were particularly planned as 'steak wines'; we didn't care as it really was a wine nerd-fest of grapes/regions, from Burgenland, Austria to Brittany, France. Wine and food were on individual plateaux today. This was the vom Boden Spring Experience case, expertly curated by Stephen Bitterolf, and well received by our tasting crew. — 4 years ago
Soft SB compared to NZ wines. Crisp & refreshing. Good value — 4 years ago
Happy Halloween to all! No spooky bottles in our cellar, but I do have this delicious rosé!

A beautiful Kimmeridgian soiled Pinot Noir! Very round and beautiful on the palate, all stainless in the process so very clean fruits. Cherry skin, minor orange zest, green melon, light tannins, very enjoyable strawberry finish, great value as a neighbor to Sancerre for under $15. — 6 years ago
