Garnet medium opacity, well balanced and mature, currants and licorice in this excellent Chianti — 5 months ago
This may be the best Chianti we’ve ever had! Subtle aroma, rich, full-bodied mouthfeel, clove, pepper, and black cherry flavor, a touch sweet, rounds out very well when paired with a rich tomato-based pasta or risotto. — a year ago
Lovely medium-bodied super Tuscan tonight. Plenty of ripe red fruit, black currants - easy drinking my friends. Stay safe — 6 years ago
Always very firm in its youth it’s finally drinking well right now with fruit, nicely developed round tannins and underlined acidity that’s there but doesn’t stand out (wouldn’t peg this as Italian in a blind tasting and probably not old world). — 8 years ago
Un Bordeaux… tout Italien…
Cassis, cerises noires… légèrement terreux… sublime!

Cherry, plum, fig, and a touch of perfume. Rich and bold. — 9 months ago
What a shocker in the wine bar at guest house Casa Rossella in the Tunuta di Arceno vineyards. First that we are free to open a pristine looking bottle and second that it is still perfectly drinkable if not well over the hill! Neck fill is full like new wines, cork in good enough shape to come out in one piece using crappy butterfly opener. Nose dominated by acidic berries and thin earthiness. Palate still lively though rather one dimensional but got that old wine feel I like so much, Finnish long though thin. Lost couple of pegs next day when Joe and Chris tasted. Give it a niner for surviving! Not a fancy label either. — 3 years ago
