Probably the best munjebel I’ve ever had. Just an outrageously perfumed and gorgeous nose. It has an earthy texture and high wire grace and tension that frame up the ripeness wonderfully. But honestly I’d be happy just smelling it; the bouquet is a complete sentence — 5 years ago
Simply amazingly smooth for the 1997 vintage and a wonderful Sangiovese that opens up. — 5 years ago
Needed to be opened the night before...or in 4 years. Still tight. But a beautifully feminine, pretty nose. — 6 years ago

A charming left bank blend with a high percentage of CF for 15’. Blueberry, cassis, espresso, dried herbs, and lavender. Hint of crushed rocks too. Medium to full body. A harmonious palate with round gentle acidity, lush texture, and grainy yet polished firm elegant tannins. Lingering lightly candied finish.
Finesse and classy, yet so approachable. — 5 years ago

Nose - pineapple, lemon zest, vanilla. Taste - citrus fruit and great vanilla flavor, little bit of caramel. Full bodied, with a good balance. Really good! — 5 years ago
Bright crunchy fruits right out of the gates. Terrific tension and acidity. Excellent wine and blew away (and felt stylistically different) than a ‘14 we tried alongside it. — 6 years ago
A model of finesse and understatement, the 2008 Barolo Le Vigne is every bit as thrilling as it has always been. At nearly 10 years of age, the 2008 is still bright, precise and very fresh. Sweet red cherry, rose petal and mint notes are beautifully sketched in a Barolo that is pure and total class. In 2008, vineyard sources are Vignane, Merli, Ceretta and Conterni. Fig, butterscotch, banana, cognac & alcohol dominate the nose. This wine is a monster. So intense and vibrant. Like it could not wait to be freed from the bottle. Nice tannins and acid. Flavors of biscuit, rhubarb & ripened light fruit. This wine makes you happy to love wine. Very fortunate to come across this bottle. 2006 vintage

Savory, fruit and texture driven blend of Etna’s Carricante plus three other local grapes. It displays a clear and bright, light straw yellow appearance backed up by attractive high toned aromatics of citrus and white stone fruits.
On the palate, it is oak-free, medium bodied and nicely balanced with an ample supply of juicy acidity and perfumed fruit that gives the Bianco a long, satisfying finish. Overall, this is an elegant and flavorsome sip-and-savor wine that should appeal to just about anyone.
