Nose: pink roses. Intense. Laser like.
Palate : a wow wine. Balanced. — a year ago
Medium lemon color, aromas of stone and citrus fruits with floral and mineral notes. On the palate flavors of apple and pear with citrus wrapped in a smooth nutty spice texture. Medium+ finish, lively acidity, ending with fruit, spice and savory citrus character. Nice value! — 2 years ago

This 6 year old Pinot Noir from Carneros is still drinking nicely, although will not last long, so drink up.
Showing nice complexity with a soft mouthfeel. Fruit forward and easy drinking, and good right out of the bottle.
Good by itself as a sipping wine.

Knowing Platt and VV’s reputation, I wanted to give this a spin.
My expectation for a VV white was along the lines of their reds (polished, suave, opulent), but this came across in a different style. Bright yellow in the glass with fresh citrus and honeysuckle aromatics. On the palate this trends more pretty/elegant vs powerful/opulent…if trying blind, I think I’d place this in Oregon. Lemon cream, lemon-lime and a small presence of tangerine with sea salt. Oak is there to frame it but not obtrusive. Good vein of acidity down the middle with a crisp mineral finish. Well made.
I’d like to try another vintage since the notes are so strong, but at the $125+ range, not sure I’m there on a QPR basis. — 7 months ago
It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black currants, blackberries, sweet cherries, spices, cedar, licorice, chocolates, vanilla, aluminum and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This 4 year old from the problematic 2020 vintage is drinking beautifully now. Feels like a Napa Cabernet with an old world twist. Interesting stuff.
This Single Vineyard is fruit forward and rich. Complex and interesting. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.
Easy drinking right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of airtime.
Tasty and good by itself as a sipping wine. Will also pair nicely with BBQ Meats.
A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Sangiovese and 25% Malbec. Aged in French oak barrels for 22 months. Unfiltered. A small production of only 1,700 bottles.
14.3% alcohol by volume.

2023. Tasted via Coravin. Medium-heavy body. Not as cloyingly sweet as some fumbled attempts by others from this fly by night vineyard. Decent grip and gorgeous fruit. Wished for a bit more structure but all too many producers accessing this fruit lately be producing over-budgeted and under-delivering films…er…wines of substance. Not the best I’ve had from this vineyard in the last few vintages but not far off either. Picked up a 3-pack as it’s still better than nearly all the high-end Napa cab producers in this price range. Will say the same vintage/producer Beckstoffer Georges III (same pricing) was underwhelming and not even close to the running. 09.25.25. — 5 months ago
2023 vintage. Tasted via Coravin. Love me some SLD cabbage. Medium-medium heavy body. Earthy, loamy, cocoa powdery nose. Striated richness throughout with sleek raspberry and baking chocolate accents. Wow. Phenomenal shizz. Picked up a 3-pack. Top 5 Napa new vintage cab tasted in 2025 (and tasted waay too many new Best In Show wannabe's this year). 09.25.25. — 5 months ago
Nose: pink roses.
Palate: elegant. Silky blackberries. Amazing. Such balance. — a year ago
"Odedi"
Ruby/ purple in color with a wide reddish rim.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black plums, currants, cherries, chocolates, light cedar, herbs, peppercorn and black licorice.
Tangy finish with medium tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very tasty Napa Cabernet. Rich and fruit forward. Elegant and nicely balanced. Complex and entertaining.
Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself as a sipping wine.
Better after 45 minutes of airtime when the tannins show up, and bring in good structure.
Still young, but very approachable already. A good entry level Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
Paired nicely with a cheese board.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged for 12 months in (50% new) French and American Oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
