This is a natural, unfiltered wine that although produced within the DO Bierzo region, falls out of the rules of production, so it ends up with the IGT clssification. Dried flowers, blueberries, and smokey vanilla on the nose, continued floral aspects on the palate as well as fresh cherries and moist earth. Quite nice, more minerality than I expected and smooth as silk tannins. Medium finish. Price/quality relation is amazing, €15 the whole bottle at the bar in Madrid — 6 years ago

Monthly WTF group recap. Theme this month was “bring something special”. Normally we taste all of the wines blind, but we decided to do a relaxed night with amazing wines at a great restaurant. Spectacular evening!


What a treat this will be in 10yrs! Very youthful right now. I don’t know how the grapes are used here, but it was reminiscent of whole cluster Pinot. Similarities to the Antica Terra Angelical wine but more spice and denser core. Lifted and energetic profile. Smoked and slightly bloodied with iron and smoky beef jerky. The finish showed tart mulberries and baked black cherries. Oak wasn’t very noticeable. Hold. — 6 years ago
