The nose has notes of lavender and a faint reminder of beach sand. The first sip started a bit spicy with cinnamon and nutmeg. The tannins are high and chalky at first but fade quickly. The finish is a nice combination of wood, toast and blackberry. I think this wine would benefit from another few years of aging. — 11 years ago

This is a full-throttle unfiltered SB 😅 Very hazy and cloudy with plenty of particles of all shapes & sizes floating around. Truly a lovely surprise! Fresh, just dry enough and slightly citrusy .... Summer beach breeze in a bottle! For 15$ this wine is exceptional. I sipped it with an ahi tuna salad with mango and goat cheese but I'd pair it with just about anything. Okay!!!!! Now were talking. Clearwater beach vacation, on the patio, watching the sunset, and having a glass of Silver Oak 2014 cabernet sauvignon. The perfect cab!!!! Blackberry and blueberry fruit on the beginning. Then comes the chocolate and spice and everything nice. The oak is HUGE!!!!! The finish is very very dry and there is absolutely no tartness anywhere!!!!!!!! Anyone who rates this less than ten has had some mighty fine wine! — 7 years ago
