Pale straw. Initial diesel on the nose, with floral grapefruit and green apple. Wonderful crisp green apple flavors with great acidity to balance what must be some residual sugar. Not complex but a delicious aperitif or spicy food wine. — 8 years ago
Great. Rich and still fresh. Good length. — 6 years ago
I like to thank @Severn Goodwin for his kindness & generosity for sending this beautiful bottle of Champagne.
We shared this with friends and paired this with apple walnut vinaigrette salad last night. Complimented the salad nicely. It was a nice yin and yang balanced tug of war of food & wine.
The body is beautiful in the mouth with nice acidity. Bruised apple & pear, some apple cider, pineapple juice, lime zest & candy, white peach, easy, soft chalkiness, soft, fine, grey volcanic minerals, sea spray, brioche with spring flowers and yellow lilies. Finishes softly, elegant, nicely balanced and persists nicely.

A bit over the top. But still a great delight. Wonderful nose. Deep gold color. — 7 years ago
Hard to go wrong and to enjoy this with this many friends bumped up the rating. Incredibly generous by @Jason Cutrer for bringing a bottle of this. Super special. — 8 years ago
What a moment and wine to share with great friends. Delicious stuff. 13-0 with two more to go! — 10 years ago
Great, stoic, but softening. — 10 years ago
These folks are really upping their game. Just in time to sell to KJ :-) Seriously, dear friends and wonderful wines. The 13s are their best efforts. This was delicious. — 10 years ago
Nice example of a Riesling. Refreshing and elegant without being too sweet but still displaying lots of bright fruit and aromatic notes. Almost effervescent. — 6 years ago
Beautifully surprising. Excellent choice by the restaurant to accompany our meal, would never have picked it but so glad they did. Enriching experience. — 6 years ago
Good friends who know you, always know what to bring over! The Cabernet Franc from Ehlers is always a great accompaniment for really good lamb or steak. Tonight it was lamb with shaved black truffles from legendary Florida chef Norman Van Aken’s 1921 restaurant. It all came together beautifully!

17/20 — 8 years ago
Pretty good. Nothing earth shattering. — 10 years ago
Caramel and butterscotch upon opening. Residual sugar makes this slightly flabby. Lacking freshness, Riesling typicity and vineyard characteristics at the moment.
After a few hours the wine is finding its balance. Even more so on the next day, it's becoming less heavyhanded. Peach, apricot, some citrus appear. So, much better on day 2... Strange huh? — 10 years ago
In which a wine tastes anthropomorphically akin to its maker - balancing power, elegance and magnetic precision. Thank you Roman for sharing. Thank you #Rieslingfeier for aligning the stars to make it so. — 10 years ago
A fun bottle with great friends. @MacForbes has the details — 13 years ago
